Troubleshooting When I open the model, it looks all blurry in the editor!
You probably have mipmapping or filtering turned on. To turn it off, go to User Preferences, and click on the System tab. Uncheck Mipmaps, and make sure that Anisotropic Filtering is set to Off. Voila, your model will now appear as pixelated as ever!
When I render the model, it's blurry.
You may have messed up the texture settings. Under your image texture, make sure that both the Interpolation and Minimum Filter boxes are unchecked (under the Image Sampling options).
When I render the model, I get white fringes around the transparent areas of my hat.
This is a common problem, and fortunately, it's very easy to fix. Just go to your texture in the properties panel and make sure Premultiply is checked (under the Image options).
When I render the model, my head appears completely black or white. What gives?
That probably means you forgot to make the hat slots of your skin image transparent. Minecraft automatically removes hats that are fully opaque, but Blender does not. Make sure you make the hat slots transparent in an image editor like Photoshop, Paint.NET, or The GIMP. Don't use Paint.
The model doesn't seem to have any faces, even when I'm not in wireframe mode!
Update Blender to the latest version for BMesh compatibility. The faces should appear.
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! I was waiting quite a while for a new updated way of rendering my skin, time to show my skin off...... not without crediting you of course!

Glad you like it! You don't need to credit me, although it is always appreciated, of course.
Not sure if this is a problem on my end or something else, but there's no texture for it, it's just invisible. It displays like a wireframe in solid view, even when I outright delete its material data. Any thoughts?
Finally!!!!! its compatible! also when i look at the bottom of my characters head in the render image, its black! i did everything right and unchecked mipmapping and made sure Anisotropic Filtering is set to Off ! plz help
Sorry for being a noob, but how do I change the skin?
P.S. Can I make an intro for my channel using this? I will credit you of course.
To change the skin, you'll need to change the texture. This is fairly simple to do. If you look at the window that contains the skin, you'll see something like this:
Choose Image -> Replace Image from the menu:
Then choose your image. You should now be able to render using your own skin.

I updated the model with a new lighting system. You can redownload it and try it out, it should now work properly. If you don't want to redo everything, and you know enough about Blender, you can turn off Ambient Occlusion and mess with the lights until you get something you like. Otherwise, you'll have to repose and reskin the model. Sorry!
How do you get the gray render background? I mean the render like this:
I get the render like this:
Could you help please?
I added some additional features in my renders to make them look a little nicer. You can do that, too, but I'd recommend you learn a little bit more about Blender so you know what you're doing.
Anyway, I just added a plane underneath my model and turned on a little reflectivity. I also moved the camera to another angle to make the shot more interesting. The camera is the little prism-like wireframe object with a black arrow. You can move it by selecting it with right-click and pressing the G key, and you can rotate it by selecting it and pressing R.
Something awesome I made:
What do you think? :DMade it in a few minutes, it took a bit of moving and rotating, but it was easy still.NOTE: the head part inside the hoodie thats black is supposed to be black.
This is an awesome rig, I'm having some problems trying to get multiple characters at once but when ever I render it they all have the same skin any one figure out how to do this yet?
This is a completely new Blender 3D model of the standard Minecraft player. It also contains an armature rigging to pose the model any way you'd like.
Here are some images from Blender's 3D viewport, with no rendering:
Once the model has been arranged and posed to your liking, you can easily render it in Blender. Here are some rendered models with various skins:
This model is also animation-ready, for use in Minecraft-related videos. Feel free to use it for whatever you wish!

Thanks
Also, I have no idea, but since it never shows up in the render i just ignore it.
Also, this is just an idea, now that you've made a model of the Minecraft player, you could make a Creeper. Wouldn't that be cool?
Awesome model. You got my download.
Um, how do I get the model onto Blender? (Sorry if that's a stupid question.)
