I don't want to use the actual default skin. I want to use a higher resolution skin i made. I can't upload it to minecraft.net because it is a bigger size then default. Default is like 64x32 and the skin i want to use is 128x64 How do i make it to where my skin is retrieved from the minecraft.jar file instead of from minecraft.net.
What I have noticed is that, if you haven't specified a custom skin, you can use your HD skin in multiplayer. My son does so.
I'm not sure if players without the same texture pack see the default, low detail skin - and frankly I don't care. I would just like to see the same skin in multiplayer as I do offline. There's got to be a way to get it to behave like it does before the first custom skin is specified.
I don't play multiplayer, I don't care about multiplayer right now, I just want to use the default skin that comes with Misa's texture pack, but I can't because I made the mistake of changing the skin on the Minecraft page, and now the game always loads that one, and it looks terrible with the HD pack. Yes, even if it's just the little guy's hand I can see most of the time.
Isn't there some configuration file that can be changed so that the game won't load the skin from the Minecraft.net page?
Again, I only play single player, and I would like to use the default skin from the texture pack I happen to be using at the moment.
If you either use the cracked version of minecraft, OR temporary turn your internet off, it should give you the option to play in "offline mode" which because you don't have internet it will not load your skin from minecraft.net, therefore giving you default!
i want default skin not reference skin
