Anyway, I'm overhauling and redoing some of my older textures. Opinions?
I'm liking that moss on the mossy stone brick, there's a good sense of depth. Maybe it could do with some moss in the center of the bricks though? Or perhaps up the contrast on the base stone brick texture, the stone brick feels a bit flat in comparison.
I never keep anything old, because i'm a dumbdumb like that so the old colors are gone. Any tips for the sand, is it the color or the texture? Perhaps both?
Colors are awesome, just the texture itself. It doesn't fit/look as well as your other work.
So now that I have a shader to make minecraft brighter, I can start doing something interesting with the lighting.
(this is vanilla minecraft+mcpatcher NO SHADERS MOD)
I'm...not really sure what I'm looking at here. How is it any different from a regular light map? (It does look pretty, though)
I made a daylight detector. I'm not sure what it is, what it does, or if this texture will look good because I don't know how to convert Isolation to a Resource Pack format. It seems like a massive hassle to do it manually... but if I must. Is there a way to more easily convert your texture pack to resource pack format? I used the unstitcher, but the folder structure isn't that of a resource pack...
Oh, and hello again everyone :3 I have returned, and legitimately inspired to work on Isolation, considering a) I graduated from school, and b ) I'm on holiday now and have been playing Resident Evil. Unfortunately, I'm lacking creativity. As you can see from my wonderfully mundane daylight detector.
Critique more than welcome! It's supposed to be broken solar panels... with a switch thingy...
But my main question is still this: is there an easier way to convert a texture pack to resource pack format, or does it have to be done manually?
There is an unstitcher in mcpatcher that works perfectly fine. It also converts ctm files which is pretty handy...
Also, hiya slinky, nice to see you around again. Congrats on graduating!
As for your texture, I think it's lovely honestly, although I think a larger patch of rust just above the dial type thing on the lower half of the texture could make that area a little more interesting. Maybe a slightly more blue tint to the solar panels themselves too? Might not really work with the rust as well that way though...
So guys, I started some new stuff. IDK about the ores themselves, but overall I like the colors.
The colours are good; however, the stone looks fairly sharp, like the individual pieces don't quite "fit in" in some spots, and I feel that it would benefit from more rounded highlights. I also think that ores shouldn't just be recolours of each other. Partially just me being a strong believer in that one rule, but also because some of them look a bit weird; for example, diamond and coal look like pale blue/dark grey metals respectively.

Well time to get the newest MC Patcher too then~
And thank you Sheep, glad to see you're still around and alive! :3 I'll definitely chuck some rust in above the dial, good idea. And I'll add a slightl more bluish hue too: I originally made the texture on my laptop, seeing as my desktop gets a memory error that I can't fix (I think my motherboard it buggered, tested it thoroughly) which has a badly coloured screen that I can't change... it has that yucky yellowish tinge to it, you know? On the screen though, the panels were slightly more bluish, so it's an easy fix. I might make them a bit purple to make them fit more.

So today I have some lovely jungle saplings for you! Feedback?
Also have some great news for you guys:
I have found this and this it's basical approoving that turnips will be added
So the popular, retro Resource Pack BioCraft has been updatet to 1.7.2 and relounched! I am now a official supporter of the owner of that Pack, Biochemic and helping out with mod support, the thread and some new textures like font or so Check it out:
Also there are only very few days left for my challange! I'm still seeking someone to overtake my Resource Pack, so check it out, too:
i think they are too soft and blury and the treetop is too tall
Okeeey,
Having too smooth textures seems to be a point of critism on every of my textures, actually I'm fine with that, but since it bothers so many people... How could I improove that?
Next... ok I do not clearly understand what you do mean by blury... Should I make it more noise, more mixed colours or leafes? I don't really get it :I And it would be nice, if you could explain to me why the treetop ist too tall... Because in MC jungle trees have more log then leafes?
@Wolfkit Thanks. Your are right about the stone texture, but I want to overhaul it soon, since it look too plain to me.
Anyway new chests on the left, I just hate the layout of the chest-texture, such a hassle... Also new leafs for jungle-trees
- img snip -
Tell me stuff^^
Ans once again the other stuff I did today
- img snip² -
The chests are good in general, but I would design the chests that way, the left ones have a metal-border with the thicknes of the right ones, and the right chests have a metal-border like the left ones (or just something with more contrast )
However, I thing those jungle leafes look pretty great And about your stone-bricks... There has been allready some critisim on them, which I agree with (althought they are indeen not that falt anymore ).
Well... Your saplings are just awesome, nothing to critisize on
Your bricks are ok, but I think they could be recoloured, because the texture should be darker (and perhaps some more orange colour???)
I acctually like that enderdragon egg, but those gems/crystals (or are they diamonds? ) do bother me... If you want to keep them in your texture, you should lower the contrast, make the more violett or darkern the texture a bit.
The cactus looks basically good and has good colour choise, but would you mind if you remove some of those spices or to have a more random, farther-away-from-eachother location? They look too alligned to me to look natural.
The sand looks pretty to me, but I can not imagine how it would look like in a desert, beach or so... But nothing to discuss about
And finally: Your double-fern... is....... it looks delicious... crunch and salty, like some crackers Amazing! (same for your normal fern)
Yeah, I am not very happy with my bricks right now. Maybe I redo them from scratch soon since all the fiddeling made them look worse :/ I also plan on redoing my stone-texture soon, since I base a ton of textures on those (e.g. ores, stonebricks) I will remake them as well, but it may take some time.
Anyway new update with lots of stuff, new leaves on all trees Links in my sig if anyone wants to try it

exactly, i think it should be more leafy, and yes it is because the MC jungle trees have more log than leaves.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I've done nothing but teleport bread for the past three days

The highlight seems a bit abrupt. Maybe add a middle highlight.
Colors are good, but I agree, the highlighted part does seem to jut out strangely.
I'm...not really sure what I'm looking at here. How is it any different from a regular light map? (It does look pretty, though)
Those jungle leaves are looking sweeeet~
Looks good, I think the stonybro style I went for would suit your pack too. I like the noses.

I am assuming you used the default unstitcher. That one I do not think is updated since the file names changed. You could also try the McPatcher one.
I thought XSSheep spawned three children.
I shall look it up, thanks for the information.

Alright, Ill work with what I have and fix some stuff. Change up the ores a bit too.
