So I looked at the screenshots that you showed on the site (really recommend embedding them into your post).
It seems as though you're using a program such as MS Paint(?), which isn't really used for texturing. The problem is that it does not support transparency (as to what I currently know about it).
Some programs are very good for making textures and are also free:
Paint.NET: Good program, but not as advanced as Gimp, most people prefer Gimp, but if you like this, then that's fine.
FREE
Gimp: A very good program, tries hard to be like Photoshop-which is a good thing-and doesn't have much of a difficult learning curve.
FREE
Photoshop: In my experience, the BEST program for this type of work, considered one of the top in photo editing and design, though it can become very expensive.
PAYED: Online subscription for the newest one (Creative Cloud). 9.99$/month.
Now onto the textures:
They look quite flat and very contrasting. The dots on the stone don't really integrate into each other, and the grass has some tiling errors.
Overall they lack shadows and depth, which is a key concept in creating good textures. The tallgrass is just one flat colour, which isn't very pleasing to look at. Try adding lighter colours, and more blades, as well as darker greens to make it look 3D and more natural.

2. Well, some of the textures were made by my best friend (playername: Nath99000)
Two of the three programs that Damo recommended are free, so I recommend you give it a shot.
