HE LIVES! Joking aside, no worries man :D. We really ought to make a github or something where changes could be submitted so a latest update would always include the latest updates/fixes. That way we could make a download link that always linked to the latest version. I know AltSWAG (See what I did there?!!?!?!!?!?! Ok that was terrible sorry.) has been hard at work with the new update textures and stuff.
I honestly can't play Minecraft without this texturepack. This pack is too good. Letting it die would be a disservice to MC in general.
Don't have much experience with github myself, but I've used it in the past and would be curious to try it out sometime when I get some more free time! I used Dropbox for a little while, but that started to give me some trouble so I just switched to Mediafire, but it very well could be due time for a change yet again! Sorry if I worried everyone that I might have vanished, but do know that I've been checking back for new posts on textures and stuff like that, just got a lot on my plate these days! Thanks for all your patience everyone!
This was my first texture pack. It's one of the few I use even though I Can run 128X packs
Same here, that's one of the big reasons I love being a part of this is because this was the first, and continues to be the only, texture pack that I use at all, and it has always been very special to me! Just harkens me back to my early days of playing Minecraft, really is an honor to be able to help keep this pack up to date!

Well its happened, 1.9 is here and Im not prepared. I honestly dont
even know what Ive already uploaded, updated, revised, redesigned. I will
need time to compare the current download with my textures and just
submit all my changes as a whole. I still have work to do on lots of
other things but I will probably focus on the UI because of all the
added textures to existing menus. Any updates to NEW textures I can do
after that, at least the game will load the defaults.
EDIT:
Here are all the changes I could recall and compare quickly.
-changed coarse dirt to eld's gravel texture because it looks like coarse dirt
and Im sure eld originally textured gravel that way because he wanted it
to look like it was mixed with dirt.
-Made the gravel texture look all gravelly similar to how its done in default. Feel free to not
include these in your texture pack. Gravel and coarse dirt just having a
slight discolor bugged me and visually had no real way of telling the
difference unless side by side.
-shifted some GUIs and menus around to reflect the changes made, and to support
the new offhand slot, new buffs/debuffs, cooldown timers etc.
-fixed the labeling and textures of redstone dust, and some old particle effects that never got updated.
-added tons of item textures and some simple block textures(will likely revisit these in the future)
There are still a lot of textures to be done, mainly entities. Even some from past updates like horses. and rabbits.

Thank you very much for compiling everything into one single file, I'll have an updated download link up shortly! Thank you for all the great work you put in, everything looks great as always!
Alrighty, just put up a small update, been in the mood to work on it again lately so I just tried to polish a few things up. Some various GUI updates, did some textures we still needed, like frosted ice, and I also modified the 3 alternate stone textures I made so they look more natural. The old variants are in the alts folder, as per usual, so you can still use them there. I'm still doing some more touch ups here and there, as I plan on using the pack again in some upcoming video series' on my channel, so I'm doing everything I can to make everything look good! Stay tuned for sporadic updates in the near future, as I still have some textures I really want to fix up. Cheers!
EDIT: Just put up another quick fix, threw together some textures for the Chorus Plant, the 4 remaining doors, and also greatly improved my old textures for the Ocean Monument blocks! Also did a few stray textures, including End Bricks and End Crystal, and probably a few other things I've since forgotten about. Feel free to leave feedback and such, although the doors in particular are just placeholders until I or someone else can make proper textures for them!
I am so happy that this update came so quickly. That's literally insane. Big ups to you people. You guys are the definition of the best.
Thank you very much, I'm just glad that you enjoy the pack! Still a bunch of things left to do, and unfortunately my limited texturing skills are reaching their, well, limits, but I'll certainly do what I can to keep updates coming when I can!
Fantastic work as always, I had been thinking of how the endstone really should be changed since the bricks were added. And yeah I threw together a Chorus plant texture, so I'm glad to see you fixed it up!
Alrighty, just updated the part partially to 1.10! I didn't have time just yet to do all of the 1.10 textures, but I did manage to texture the Husk and Stray, as well as incorporating all of altswangs recent contributions! I should have most of the other new stuff done in a day or so, namely the new blocks that were added!
EDIT: As it turns out, I had a bit of time to spare, so I went ahead and put some texture together for the new blocks! Hopefully they will be sufficient until someone else is able to texture them better!
Hey there, I'm used Eldpack a LOOONG time ago and I've been away from the game now for years. I'm just getting back into it and I am SO THRILLED that this project is still ongoing! It means a lot to me to be able to keep playing with the textures that I loved so much from years ago. Thank you so much to every person who has had a hand in organizing, contributing, texturing, or whatever else to keep this project going for so long. <3

It's our pleasure, I'm glad to hear that you enjoy the pack so much! I'm more than happy to help maintain the Eldpack, so it's always nice to hear from people who are as much a fan of the Eld style as I am!
Hey guys! As always, you guys do great work continuing my favorite resource pack. I'd like to request something though.
For the -ite blocks -- diorite, granite, and andesite -- could you make their hues closer to what they are in the default texture pack? Andesite in Eldpack is a very dark brown while the default is almost the same color as normal stone, granite is almost white in Eldpack while it's a very stark, earthy red by default, and diorite is a moderate grey in Eldpack while being white in the default textures. While I prefer the textures in Eldpack for these blocks I'd still like their colors to be closer to what they are by default so that I know my builds will look more or less the same to people with other texture packs installed.

I can certainly see what I can do, I've been trying to balance the Eld-style with the crafting recipe logic for the different stone textures when I re-did them (as the originals I made were pretty bad), but I can give it another shot and see how it looks!

Thank you! Just got a pretty sizable update to 1.9, so good timing there

Eldpack is one of my favorite texture packs that I liked to follow throughout the year! I'm glad to see that continuation is keeping this alive.
Same here, always was my absolute favorite texture pack, and I'm happy to be able to help keep it alive!
Updated Stuffs:
-fixed the repeating command block(forgot to add)
-Endstone redo to look natural
-Endstone brick is now old eld endstone texture
-Endrod
-Endercystal item/entity
-Armorstand entity
-Shulker
-Included Pupur blocks(Cant remember if I submitted them already)
-Chorus flower alive/dead. Cant remember if we had one already. someone did the stalk so I just kinda built around that.

Omg, this pack is still alive? I used to use this when I was like 9 and I loved it, everything was so cool and still is! Good work!
Thank you very much, we do our best to keep it up to date for that very reason!
