But the sun and moon texture puts me off cause it's round, gonna replace it with default. Round sun and moon completely spoiled a texture pack staying true to default. Minecraft is meant to be square and cuboid, not round and spheroid. I suppose I could make alternate animated moon texture that's square
I don't like the mob textures, it's a bit uglier. The mob textures completely spoiled the original feel and the texture pack.
That would be awesome if you'd wanna try that. If it's not too much work ofcourse.
I already deleted the Netherrack (first i tried editing the properties so it took longer for the animation to start but it was still a little too much in my opinion.) and might do the same with some of the Mobs. Or i might even open Photoshop and mess around a bit with your textures if you don't mind.
I already made the water less dark blue and changed the diamond tools back to the way they where.

But you know How am I supposed to do this? If you can't explain, no problem, I look when you upload it.
But IMO soul sand Diamond and Emerald should be slower.
You could add animated items like:
- Rotten flesh with flies
- Torches and Redstone Torches
- Ender pearl
- Grass & Flowers
- Potions
- Water, Milk and Lava Buckets
- Jukebok
- Ender Chest
- Dispenser (Glowing eye?)
Other stuffs, more deadly ninja creepers (stone/cobblestone, sandstone...) for spec biomes....
Some of them should be a good idea, and I will spend some times to think about the way to animate them.
Too bad Mojang made every items spinning all the time, restricted the way to animate them just likes your idea of Rotten Flesh. Also I think mod it with particles effect should better. I'm not sure what animation should I add on Torches & Redstone Torches because those torches has particles effect on it already. I really want to do the animation of Grass & Flowers but still not yet know the way to do it nice.
Potions already has their default animations. Dispenser with animation will make it hard to be a trap right?
Actually I said before about not liking to do item's animations don't mean I will never do it, but I still need to worry about the balance with the default enchanted animation effect. Yep I can animated everything to trick everyone feel amazing, but I think it will lose the harmony of the default feeling. (yep also the hell-style of harmony in nether)

You should animated grass and wheat and potatoes and carrots.
Yep you're right, I really want to add animation on them, just don't know the way to make them look good yet. It's quite hard to animate this kind of object with 16x resolution.
Sorry don't know which mod you means, and don't know Optifine's animation supports mod's texture or not, should need a try.

You can put those 6 files in the "anim" folder of the texture pack and have a try.
