    I removed temporarily all mod support - all my favorite mods are discontinued...




    Hey there! This texture pack is my continuation of Ray Frenden's Cartoon Pack- "Made of awesome!"
    It's one of the first texture packs. I discovered it nearly four years ago shortly after i bought Minecraft, it made me register here to thank Ray for it.
    A while ago i started to play again. I noticed soon that i don't want to play without this pack, but Ray had decided a while ago to stop updating it. Luckily he had it made open source. So i had to do something...

    The pack works without any modifications, but i recommend to use MCPatcher or Optifine.
    You'll get the best results with MCPatcher. Want to know more? Scroll down to additional infos.

    This is what you'll also get when you patch with MCPatcher or Optifine:
    • Connected Textures Mod features (glass, nice pillars (use half slabs), various colored wood, random textures…)
    • visible glass (a BetterGlas feature of MCPatcher), connected glass just looks better with it
    • "Natural Textures", a feature of Optifine - several textures are rotated to avoid repeating patters
    • custom biome colours for the sky, terrain, leaves, fog, water…
    • custom sky textures - cloud banks, a new night sky, comets
    • some random mob textures

    I remember using Frenden's texture pack way back at the dawn of time. These days I don't usually use anything below 32x, but I really like your continuation and had forgotten how bright and cheerful everything could be, so I think I'll spend a little time induldging in 16x nostalgia. :)

    Wow, I honestly like this texture pack. All the colors, just BOOM! It's hard to choose a favorite mob out of all the ones here, because they all look great! Fantastic continuation here.

    You're breaking the rules! [16x] was never meant to be so beautiful... someone ban this kid. ;) Good work man, I have a feeling I'll be following this thread for quite some time. Your color selection is to die for, and I believe you're the first person to use low resolution better skies and you sure as hell pulled that one off flawlessly. Keep at it! :)

    I found already something i have to change: The old moss stone texture (first image) doesn't work very well on the new mossy cobblestone bricks. I think something like this (second image) should do it, will update it soon:

    Meringue, could you change the leaves? I've never liked the original leaves.

    Also, you could make the moss stone texture the original and the wall the new one using CTM.

    Finally someone continous this TP in a way it deserves! i love what you have done with it, while still keeping close to the original style! The custom font fits perfectly too! Please, please, please keep up the good work!

    The mossy cobblestone is very off for slabs though, you're right. I think your change is going to be spot on. I don't think Ray was expecting slabs and walls when making his viney moss.

    I suggest giving netherwart some color, though. They are exactly the same color as the nether bricks right now, and that makes them look dull. Maybe throw the hue into the red a bit and saturate.

    after using it for a while i found one thing that annoyed me,
    chinseled stonebrick and double slab looks eksaktly the same.
    apart from that, i really like all the new textures.
    (espessianly the font, its gorgeous)

    You mean the normal tree leaves? Hmm... maybe in the future, right now i concentrated to stay as close as possible to the original textures.
    I thought about only using CTM for changing the wall textures, but this won't help those who dont want to use HD patchers.

    Yes, i noticed that about the netherwart just recently (i hate going to the Nether...), i think i'll change it a bit.
    I noticed you have the default grass in your screenshot, is it intentional or a bug?

    Thanks! The chiseled stone brick and the stone slab tops were always the same in this pack though... but i'll look into it.


    I can't do any work this weekend on the pack (at the hospital again), but i think i can do an update soon after that. :)
