I don't know when they accidentally must of gotten thrown in, but there's "desktop.ini" in every folder. Not hard to get rid of, extract it to a folder and enter desktop.ini in the search bar and just delete all the results. I think Googledrive might of done it actually.

I really appreciate the work on this though. I'm using a Johnsmith pack with a few tweaks here and there. I don't know if I'd be able to enjoy FTB as much without it.
For my own pack I added Misa's weather, lightmaps, clouds and sky (although the clouds and sky don't work with FTB yet). Found that SummerFields mobs fit nicely too.
After clicking STR for minecraft 1.4.2/1.4.5/1.4.6 from dropbox It completely downloaded to my computer. (not the J as it is a seperate link)
I extracted it with my archive utility.
Inside there are NO FOLDERS by the name of Eloraam, or any that contain files of the kind
100% sure
I just had my winderps 7 friend download and expand the file on his computer and it worked fine. They got all the files using my same method.
There must be a file in the texture pack that bugs out macs. Either remove the files or put a warning on the original post for mac users.
that file can potentially harm someones computer, please fix it quick.

There's nothing that we put in the texture pack that could harm any computer, let alone macs. All we have in there, are .png files which are universal, with the occasional .properties which is used by java, which is also universal.
Twiggholmes: A few minor suggestions regarding the quality of your posts.
1. What quality? These posts are horrific.
2. What in blazes are you talking about? Why would you ever extract a texture pack?
3. The pack couldn't possibly corrupt anything, it's merely image files.
4. Mac... blech. Try it under Linux.
5. We've got lots and lots of satisfied users that don't have problems, and seem to be using the pack properly. Then we've got you, who are using the pack incorrectly in the first place, who does have problems. Sorry, if you're not using it as intended, we cannot, and I repeat, cannot, help you. We're also not going to change anything based on the whims of one user. We made this pack primarily for us, and we're releasing it because we think you'll enjoy it too.
Thanks for the ctm support! Love it. Any plans on adding logistics pipes? I tried to work on them but I don't know where to start
Try to make them look like the BC pipes these guys did..
I also wanted to state I have tried this pack since I saw it when you released it and I think it is awesome.. It looks really good with the JS texturepack.. its kinda cool because i was getting sick of looking at the default textures when playing on JS..
I am hoping RP2 gets updated soon, Some of the things on there are all pink, I havent made any RP2 items because of it... Yes I can use Default textures but I like yours a whole lot better...
Thanks again for making these, they are awesome..
BTW I am using this pack without FTB and/or tekkit or whatever.. I am adding mods to my own game and using the pack as is.. works fine..
::EDIT::
Wow, I just noticed I made a reply to you exactly 12 hrs after you made your post... interesting..

Downloading the latest version now, had gotten the one with the Xmas lights on some trees. Thought I'd mention that with the one before I found the dead grass in an ExtraBiomesXL wasteland biome to have some funky floating pixels.
Otherwise, you guys are doing a damn fine job, thank you all.
Yeah I noticed the jungle trees still had christmas lights on them the other day, must have accidently slipped back in when I merged some changes in the terrain.png. Should be fixed now.
As for the floating pixels on dead grass, I'll take a look at that, theres quite a few things with rouge pixels that need taking care of *cough* RC steel shovel.

Oh, good good. I'm not going crazy then. Nice to see you guys going strong and bringing the Legacy folks into it. Might there be any way to possible request mods to be remixed into the pack? I don't want to ask about specific mods since I don't know what the etiquette is on such things.

Except that whatever you're using to create the .zip file does create a file that is not read by the default archive utility tool on macs, as I am experiencing the same issues reported above.
The funny thing is that the version I downloaded about a month ago worked fine, but not now. Have you changed the way you archive the files?
I commend you on your work on the textures, from what I've seen, they're very good.
It would be awesome to see customizer here, like in old John Smith thread.
We aren't allowed to, wish we could

You can use, edit and share my textures as long as I'm credited You are not allowed to make money with my work And you are not allowed to use my textures in a customizer or in any other games else than Minecraft.
You can't use JohnSmiths textures, but you can use new one. Nobody can't forbid you to do a little better, more accurate, slightly changed and upgraded textures into your own customizer... I will try make some blocks in future and send it to you if you want. Also with screenshots of those blocks to see how they works
Also, thanks for making this thread... JS is one of the best texture packs, it's sad that John abandoned his wonderfull project. I've hope it will be upgraded every snapshot with some cool stuff.
Btw, greenhawk, are you a bot? Response in 3 mins
Haha, I get a popup when someone posts in the thread. Makes it easy!
Yeah, maybe one day we could have a customizer with textures made by the community, but that most likely won't happen for sometime.
How did you get the sunlight shading in the first 2 tekkit pictures? The last time I used GLSL shaders (the one that was supposed to offer this), it didn't do the sunlight, only animated water, leaves and plants.

You want to be a dragon? Well, then you need to have wings, a passion to hoard, and have a deadly breath.
Oh, and did I forgot to tell you dragons are extremely territorial? ROAWR >:)
Awesome work guys. All the new stuff coming out makes it hard to keep up, texture-wise (if you want to play the game at all , that is) nice to see JohnSmith is alive and well and being continued by the great community of fans that it has.

Do or do not. There is no try.
