I'll definitely try out a slightly darker colour. Only reason I didn't have it more red from the start was because I still wanted them to be visible against all the netherrack and red glow of the nether. Thanks for the feedback, guys!
Okay, little update about the update - Ghast is done and pigman is getting there. Will post pics of pigman when it's done too.
I've also made a new glass texture which is a more simple cross pattern and I'm currently working on a night sky texture for mcpatcher and optifine users. It's going to have the broken planet from the daytime rotating around the sky as usual but with no clouds and a lot darker plus a tonne of little stars above it that don't rotate. Hopefully it will turn out okay! (should be much better than the current black nothingness that will show if you're using mcpatcher or optifine currently. For some reason the default sky just gets overwritten even though there's no sky file for night yet...
I can indeed fix that with models, it's something I've been looking into as well because I was also getting annoyed at how it had the thin slice of texture combined with the actual 3d model of the torch. I'll probably tweak the texture just slightly to make a more effective looking model (I don't want really complex looking models in the pack as I feel they don't really fit in too well).
Here's a WIP pic of the sky. I'll be making nebula shapes with stars before trying to add some sort of actual nebula dust behind them to make them stand out more then fill in the remaining space with more random slightly darker stars. Colours are a bit of a WIP at the moment, I think I might make them match the nebula dust that will eventually surround them a bit more too. (EDIT: okay, there are more stars than it looks currently, really hard to see on a pic that zoomed in though... They're also a bit more dull than the big clusters)
Here's the glass currently too. The panes are way brighter than the glass blocks for whatever reason but I think they both look good. If they obstruct visibility too much there are always the much easier to see through tinted glasses!
It's also on the list (I've updated the list since I posted it and it's a mod I'm planning on using in a modded survival server with a friend in the near future so it will be one of the ones I focus on next)
Speaking of the mods, they're about 50% done now I'd say but I've taken a little break from them to finish off some vanilla stuff (mobs and a couple more models) as these last few mobs are all I have left to do currently in vanilla minecraft so once they're done I'll start working 100% on mod support.
Also if anyone else has made any mod support or want to help out, feel free to make some for whatever mod and I can add it to the modpack once I post it up (with full credit to you of course!)
so sheep, did you ever imagine your pack would become so popular? with 86 pages of posts?

I dunno, I think the fact that my two old packs were very popular helped a lot. I felt this was much higher quality than my older packs too which no doubt also helped.
So I don't want to sound like an ass but I kinda did think it was going to do pretty well just due to how many people liked my older packs which were IMO much lower quality... (that said, I think my first texture pack actually had more pages - like almost 150 or something)
Thanks and yes I will re-add CTM for glass but it's currently a bit broken and doesn't render entirely correctly so I might wait till it gets fixed by mcpatcher first. Until then I'll try and finish up the vanilla textures I have left and then some mod support!
Thanks for the info about the disc, I'll check that out in just a month, could potentially be an issue of some old files that changed format so hopefully I can fix that. Sucks that the sky doesn't work though, have you tried mcpatcher and optifine? It really makes a lot of difference to how the world looks IMO!
I might've even unknowingly fixed it in the newest version of the pack I'm using. I cleaned up a lot of files I wasn't using like some old model properties files and some mcpatcher stuff and I might've removed some sound files that were just the vanilla ones I was planning on changing and never got around to it...
I just rechecked all the records, all work for me... not sure what happened there. Maybe i used 13 and was too impatient? (13 starts really really quiet...)
Yea, probably something like that or maybe it was just another one of minecrafts many quirks.
I'm glad to hear that! BOP is great for survival servers, good choice on adding it to your server. It adds so much to exploration, and with a good texture pack, all the new logs/planks/stones/flowers/leaves/vines/things add a lot to comfy building. I use Dandelion and it has great BOP support but I'd love to see it in your pack too.
Great choice! Dandelion is my go to pack for BOP too, the extra foliage looks great. Also probably still my favourite cartoony/simple styled pack too!
But yea, I'll get to working on the BOP stuff after this update (well, technically after I get back from japan too as I'll be leaving on wednesday in the upcoming week)
This texture pack is awesome but it is still missing textures on mobs like the pigman zombie! But it is one of the best detailed resource pack i have ever seen
Thank you kindly for this texture pack. I particularly appreciate that it has full coverage of the game's textures, as it always bothers me encountering mobs and blocks that don't fit in well with the aesthetic.

Cheers dude, glad you like it. Yes, pigman isn't done but it will be done for the next update along with the ghast and some other stuff.

Thank you for taking the time to try it out!
I tried to finish up the most common stuff first as I'm the same way, it always bugs me when I notice stuff from vanilla while using a pack with a different art style!
The ghast is looking good, Sheep, and I love the sky, can't wait to see it when it's finished.
Enjoy your holiday in Japan, btw!
Thanks aztec, I'm also liking how the sky is coming. MUCH better than my last few attempts (which didn't make it into the pack because I wasn't happy with them). This one will make it in for sure though, will just require more work to fill up the rest of the sky!
I'm going to re-add them when I update the pack again as I'll need to mess with the OP anyways at the time.
Thanks for letting me know though! (and nice to see pop by!)

Glad to know it's sorted anyway!
It will be tomorrow or the day after. Got to have it up before I head to japan which is in 5 days.
