Hello. Today I bring the happy news of JJJason's Fancycraft texture pack has finally been updated. JJJason gave me permission to update his pack. These aren't his textures and I would make my own but I'm not so good with 64x64 and 128x128 textures.
I need some help from the community for updating. Keep that in-mind. Just look at the new textures on all the packs since 1.2. They're all taken from other packs and I feel bad. I want this back to have new textures. I'll post a list of textures I need in the future.
If you don't believe that I got permission, then here's a photo.
So if you didn't read what JJJason said, when he returns he will create his own textures. This post is basicly to get the word out to those who love the pack.
Without further ado, photos!

1.3 ready!
I have used Misa's Textures to update this pack to 1.3. You can check out her pack here
Alrighty. So JJJason said he would return in around August. So until then, I'll manage his texture pack.
Okay, I'm happy my texture pack is getting lots of downloads, but really. Post a link to the thread, not a direct download. I'm getting NO CREDIT. Someone could have made a seperate thread and called it his own. I mean 35k downloads is a lot more than the amount of views I have on this thread and the PMC threads!.
If you want to use some textures in your pack, make sure you have JJJas0n's or my permission. I'll set up some basic steps for the silly noobs out there.
1. PM me and tell me what you plan to use in your pack.
2. When the pack is finished put mine with a link in the credits
3. PM the finished link so I can see what you did and make sure you put me in the credits.
Thanks!
Of course, JJJason, for make this wonderful pack. Scuttles, For the jungle wood, jungle leaves, jungle saplings, and colored wood planks. And Misa for the mobs, font, emerald, emerald ore, emerald block, enderchest, book GUI, allitems GUI, trading GUI, book and quil, and whatever else was added in 1.3.
I just now stumbled on this thread. Glad to see you now have official blessing for your unofficial updates...heh! I can now start being more specific when I mention FancyCraft in my various forum entries.
I'm not sure why FancyCraft doesn't garner more interest than it apparently does. It's a darn fine texture pack. I continue to prefer it over all others, including the so-called biggies. I've tried a great many of 'em. Some admittedly have more of a "wow factor" at first, but in the end I aways return to FancyCraft. It just feels "right" for day-to-day survival play.
I'll once again include a link to the thread where I visually document my Minecraft Survival Hill Fort. All captures were taken with FancyCraft 128x128 in place, most with the 'unofficial' update. It should give folk an adequate idea of what the pack can do for an average (?) survival play-through.
However it isnt very "unique." Just another high def pack.
LIES
It is very different from the others. It's different in soo many ways. I like many HD packs. Like Misa, LB Photo realism, and Fancycraft. I wouldn't like them if they were all the same. Fancycraft has done plenty of different things that you wouldn't see in another pack. Just download it and try it out. It's amazing.
(I sacrificed my 42nd post for this. I hope you're happy :/)
please stop bumping... besides being against the rules, it's annoying. be creative with it, post some new screenshots, or relevant info about the pack... don't just bump.
and thank you for continuing this while he's gone.. I like this pack and actually used the items in my pack (with permission) for a few updates.
don't let the lack of feedback disappoint you, it's hard to come by sometimes. (80% of my threads replies are from me...lol)
Aye, be careful of bumps. The world knows I wish FancyCraft drew more attention than it apparently does. Not sure why that is. It's such a wonderful pack...best work-a-day survival pack out there in my opinion. I continue to audition other HD packs for fear that JJJas0n and/or yourself will be tardy in updating. Some of those packs provide more short-term 'wow'. But when all is said and done I return to FancyCraft. It just feels 'right'. Looks greats yet doesn't distract from gameplay, as some packs tend to do.
But back to the subject at hand...as Grugsy says, you should avoid out-and-out bumps. Instead, disguise them as periodic info updates and/or quality captures displaying the packs many positive attributes. You might also come up with some sort of gimmick. Maybe ask users of FancyCraft to post images of what they consider their better creations, captured with the pack in place of course.
I'll repost a couple of mine:
I'm a huge fan of FancyCraft's various brick and stone blocks, including cobble. They look great individually and blend well together. Cobble itself becomes usable both for walls and ground cover. And I don't think anyone bests FancyCraft when it comes to wool.

I thought you could bump once every 24 hours. Sorry if I am wrong, I didn't mean too and will delete my posts if I have too.
nah... just be careful with it or a mod will get onto you for it... honestly I bump my thread a couple times a day, but there is always a reason for it. (whether I made the reason up or not is debatable...lol) if you can't find a reason to do it, go to planet minecraft and download a cool world save and take some screenshots to post. throw a couple in a spoiler and be like "hey, I found this awesome world that shows off the pack really well.. take a look!" (just make sure to post a link to them on the creators page too so they can use them as well)

In his pm he said that he would be returning in August. That's when 1.3 comes out. Thank goodness. That would've been hard work.

Thanks again for keeping FancyCraft usable!
