hey santiago im making a Apocalypse RPG map and i was kinda wondering if i could use this pack for it!
it would mean allot if i could becuase this is just excellent work!
1. needs better sounds
2. needs to not give you everything right off. ammo more rare, guns rare as well.
3. fewer zombies
4. keep the day/night cycle
5. needs particle effects on the weapons. muzzle flashes and the like.
6. needs better "towns"

It all feels far too loose so far, sadly.
Well since you covered most of the topics I was going to I'll just use the same numbering system.
1. Couldn't tell, my headphones are currently broken and my earbuds aren't long enough. I played it while using the Pandora app on my phone.
2. What version were you playing? When I played it you only start out with the pistol and you only get better guns when you level up.
3. Yes. Whenever I holed up for a bit to regen health the game became almost unplayable due to the amount of lag from the massive amount of zombies that were spawning.
4. It would be nice to have a break yes, and it would also help with the lag issue by clearing out the hordes, but I think the day portion should be kept short so you can't just destroy every spawner in an area during the day.
5. Agreed, it would be nice to have some indication that you're shooting besides sounds and the recoil.
6. Absolutely, while it was kind of fun digging through the glitched up buildings, simply tweaking the map generator so you get a flatter landscape and then putting some better buildings in would make it a lot better.
I can't really give much of a review on the pack's effect on it because I was too busy trying to stay alive to notice it much, but I have a feeling that once you release the next update with the mobs it'll be a whole lot better.
Also, one last thing. I found a small issue with the wood texture while I was fighting for my life.

Ehn, sadly it's pretty unavoidable do to how the cubes are UV'd. Unless I made the slats all have 2 pixel wide cracks between them. "acceptable losses" as they say :wink.gif:

Thanks for the catch though!
No problem.
Thinking back, I was in the process of tearing up the floor when I saw that, so for normal building that probably won't matter much.

Yeah, it's like how the stairs textures rotate the top of the stairs to be 90 degrees from the front of the stairs. Why? No idea. Just makes it look ugly. Can't be changed, as much as it bugs me :wink.gif:
I've finally tweaked the gravel and sand to something I'm happy with.

The gravel is good : it blends with the stone but have a noticeable effect. For the sand I'm not quite sure if it tiles good on a large surface.
I personally think that Undead Minecraft is the superior zombie survival mod at the moment. Also, I'm home from uni for CHristmas and won't be working on my map for a few days. These new textures are making me excited to get back to it though. Santi, I've been using the old grey brick cobble texture as foundation a lot, and it works rather well. A plain cement block would certainly suffice as a substitution if you're removing the bricks. Just a thought.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, all!
Hrmm... maybe I should change it back, yeah? I just really like that blue-grey brick quite a bit...
Allright, i'm going to have to admit something that bugged me when i tried out the texturepack.
Well, to put it frankly... The stone textures just bug me. A lot. All grainy and gravely, it sort of hurt my eyes. You might want to lower the contrast / smoothen it out a bit. It could still be rough, but, just so it's not irritating.
Sorry, let me explain. I know it is stone bricks, I was referring to the fact that it is so white, assuming such is a wallpaper over the bricks. Then I saw the crack, and, as you can tell, it doesn't go further than the white part. That's why I stated such as such.

Go ahead! :biggrin.gif:
Oh my god...
...there goes my productivity for the day!
This looks AWESOME :biggrin.gif:
Cobblestone = old clay texture
red brick = red brick still
old cobblestone texture = might not make it into the pack... but we'll see!
Switched around the stone, mossy stone, and other fortress blocks to something I hope works/looks better. We'll see though!
Glowstone will totally be neons. The tiny diamond bulbs will be used for surprise top tier weaponry and tools :wink.gif:!

Oh and your texturepack was posted a few day ago on a (the most) famous French Minecraft website (http://minecraft.fr/1-00-the-end-is-extremely-night-32x/) Somme good reactions though !
Check this texture pack out !
Looks pretty good so far. I'll test it out in the deserts for the true "all or nothing" test :wink.gif:!
Woohoo!! That's very cool :biggrin.gif:
also: if "somme" is a pun and not a typo, i lol'd.
New desert sands. Your thoughts? I'm pretty happy with it!
New "clay" is broken, shattered brick. The item has been replaced with a broken brick. Bake them anew and build your walls!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, all!

I'll shuffle some stuff around then :wink.gif:
More Art Mod <-- Right here!

Please use more respectful language and don't quote the OP
A highway tunnel. Showing off some of the new kz.png assets!
A refuge from the chaos?
The new paintings I see are very well done, as usual.
I see some cracks in that white, what I assume to be, wallpaper!
stone bricks?

Ahh yes, I understand. Sorry for the assumption.
