This is a "fan-update" of GeruDoku, with a lot of elements/textures taken from Doku's RPG pack (Not to be confused with DokuCraft). I say fan-update in quotations because it's not a straight continuation. I don't use a lot of the original GeruDoku textures, such as the cactus, pumpkin, or ore blocks, as I don't think they fit the style as much as mine do. I've been using these textures for quite some time now, so I figured I'd share them for those who want to use them.
One of the main reasons I started this pack is because most GeruDoku continuations/fan-updates are half-assed, and typically don't have much effort put into them. I feel as though mine has a lot more effort put into it, and I plan on updating this for all future MC updates as well, like I've been doing.
I've also added another version of the pack titled GeruDokuRPG Classic! No biome coloring at all (Grass/foliage/water/sky/fog/etc.), no randomobs, no other fancy features, and grass blocks and leaves have tiny flowers reminiscent of the version of Doku's RPG that had them.
To celebrate the 1-year anniversary of GeruDokuRPG, I've created a new edition of the pack called GeruDokuRPG Origins! It's essentially a straight continuation of GeruDoku, with old textures like the old cacti, ore blocks, etc. No textures from when GeruDoku was still being updated by tombones are changed.

The credits list is getting too big, so I'm going to put it in a spoiler.
- Tombones for being the original creator of GeruDoku, and an inspiration.
- Doku for textures from Doku's RPG, random flower and shrub textures used from DokuCraft (Free to use), and inspiration for the pack.
- Dustyshouri for mobs, items, and a lot more (Full credit list here)
- Misa for her base custom sky/fog colors from her Realistic Pack.
- SMP for his custom star skybox (Go check out his texture pack! It's amazing!)
- JohnSmith for the skybox clouds, vine, pumpkin/melon stem, as well as a few textures I used for some of my ExtraBiomesXL/RPG support.
- Tyken132 for his Blaze and Magma Cube textures.
- jzus for his inventory status icons, book GUI (Edit by Dangeresque IIRC), as well as inner log rings/oak log CTM textures.
- GameslayerX2 for his base jungle log texture.
- Lithiumsound for his home furnishing paintings and some particle effects.
- InsaneLaughing for his cloud texture, as seen in DokuCraft: The Saga Continues (Yes, I have permission from him to use it).
- SqueegeeLuigi999 for the Hylian enchanting rune particles.
- Krayloon for dragon egg and book texture.
- Bockwurst for his mod support for TFC's Gem Pack
- Anyone else I'm missing. There were a lot of people that added to GeruDoku, so to those I didn't mention, thank you. Here's a credits list that was in GeruDoku's topic, just in case anyone wants to see it.
Honestly, I don't know half the the stuff and their respective owners, and I'm sure I've used textures without permission, but I'm just posting this pack so others can have it. I'm not claiming any of this as my own, seeing as almost none of it is my work (Some is, like the giant mushroom textures). As for the copyright thing below, I only have it because it's required by the forum rules.
If a texture pack artist has one of their textures in the pack, and would like it removed, feel free to tell me, and I'll remove it. I'd go around and ask for permission, but I don't even know half of the people to ask, and even if I did, there's probably a TON of people.
1) I don't see any other fan versions with textures I have, such as the cactus, ore blocks, etc. They all have the regular GeruDoku ones.
2) What's one more going to hurt then? I'm at least putting effort into mine, as well as working ahead. I've seen quite a few fan updates that just slap on textures from other packs. I'm trying to make mine go well together, and they do.
Well, I decided to work on some more 1.8 blocks. I got the Brown Giant Mushroom, Mushroom Top (Assuming there is one, like trees), Stone Brick, Mossy Stone Brick, and Cracked Stone Brick blocks done. I also touched up a bit on the Red Giant Mushroom block, and it looks a bit nicer IMO.
I'd do the iron bar things, but I'm not exactly sure what it's supposed to look like. Like if it's a door, or the "iron reed" looking things in the one screenshot Notch posted. Oh well, guess it'll have to wait.
Oh, good, glad someone bumped this. I worked on wild grass stuff and colored the stems of the flowers better, as well as the tall grass. I removed biomes completely, and it looks sexier than ever before. Also fixed a few textures, such as wheat (There was a weird hole in one of the textures) and the fishing rod when it's casted. I'm just gonna wait until 1.8 to upload the update. I'll most likely have it up the day 1.8 is released, as I already have a lot of textures done.
1) Don't order me around.
2) I completely forgot I even put that up. I'm not even sure why I put it up, seeing as most of the work isn't actually mine.
3) No need to get pissy, it's not like I'm forcing people to use it like some other texture pack creators.

I mean't to say it in a funny jokingly way but apparently you just took it seriously. So have fun with your remix of Geru Doku that has been done 100 times before cause I won't be using it so cheers... :wink.gif: And no one is getting -pissy XD
The texture pack has been updated for 1.9 (I had updated it for 1.8 as well), but since I have textures from other packs (JohnSmith, Dusty's Textures, and a few others), I can't post it. IF I can get permission from the people whose textures I used, I'll upload the new version with them.
Updated for 1.9 pre-release 2, except for the cauldron textures, which I'll get to eventually. Also, I got permission to use JohnSmith's vine textures, so yay for that! Enjoy!
EDIT: Heh, just looked at my mediafire files, and it showed that the old version of this had over 1000 downloads. Kind of surprising, but cool!
EDIT2: Fixed up some item textures to make them look better (Ghast Tear, Gold Nugget, etc.) and did the cauldron texture.
- Redid some of the new nether items
- Added 3 new versions of the texture pack, Spring, Autumn, and Winter.
- Added a new pack icon/description for each pack, and a panorama for the new season packs.
NOTE: I don't recommend actually playing with the Winter pack, as it removes all of the ground foliage, such as flowers, tall grass, etc.
ANOTHER NOTE: The texture packs are named GeruDokuA, GeruDokuB, etc. so they are ordered in the texture pack menu by season.
Crazy? It's the same as any other pack...There are just a few different variations. 4 seasons, and one that works with biomes.
In the opening post, there are 5 download links labelled Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Biome-Compliant. Just download one of them (Or all. :biggrin.gif:) to your texturepacks folder. And of course, don't forget to use the HD patcher.
The million other DokuRPG pack out there rarely try hard enough, yours at least seems to have enough effort to keep the overall feel of Doku RPG intact.
Good Job, and Good Luck.
Thanks! The main reason I made this is because most of the other GeruDoku fan updates look nothing like GeruDoku. It's one of my all time favorite texture packs, and I want to keep the feeling the same, so it can be other peoples' favorite as well.
This is the best remake I've ever seen. Spectacular job on your part and I'm pleasently suprised to see the additions from the various packs. The greastest one yet!

Any texture pack with resolution higher than 16x needs the patcher, so yes, this needs the patcher...
