Hey guys. I've been away for a while for personal reasons, and it's safe to say that I probably won't be coming back. My textures are now freely available.
It's been a joy growing and tweaking KabPack over the years, and helping the community.
KabPack is a low-contrast, easy viewing, medievalish 16x16 texture pack made for building. I've been working on it in my free time for more than a year, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. There are two versions of KabPack available: Architecture for people who want to build, and use blocks that wouldn't normally be used for building to enjoy more variety, and Adventure, more traditional, yet versatile set of textures.
i was looking for a good 32x texture pack, but i saw this.
i like this more than the 32x ones i was seeing. i downloaded both versions of this and plan on using them as my default.
LOVE THE Pack! Nice job! my family loves it when i play wit this texture even though they don't play minecraft! lol Is it my family that is weird or The Texture's Power! lol
omg this is so epic. i thought it was hd and then i saw 16x i was like . i tried making a 16x but it doesnt look as epic as yours. reminds me of isabella. i love it.
This all looks great. I had to double check the title to make sure it wasn't 32x. For me that is a sign of a good texture artist. If they can make the textures appear a resolution higher than what they actually are.

PROFITING FROM MY WORK IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN
Use: KabPack and all the textures contained within belong to me, with the exception of those which are property of Mojang. This is a given because of the wonders of copyright law. (Yay) The user is licensed to enjoy the KabPack textures in Minecraft. Users may choose to create videos of their enjoyment of Minecraft - this is ok, and in fact encouraged.
Modification: Users may freely modify KabPack for your own personal use. Permission for a public release of a derivative of KabPack, no matter how insignificant, requires my written approval and license in the associated forum topic, which must be linked to from the original post to avoid idiots clicking your report button. Licensed derivative works require my permission to have derivatives of their own. Profiting directly from my work is strictly forbidden.
Redistribution: Downloaders may not redistribute KabPack in whole or in part. KabPack will only be distributed in the manner I personally see fit. Direct links to my own bit.ly links are allowed, but you have to pinky swear you'll update the links as I update. Otherwise, I'd prefer you link to this forum thread.
I'm Dead Clause: If I am unresponsive and unreachable two weeks after a minecraft update, fans may provide downloads in-thread of the updated textures. If this continues for two months, unless otherwise excused (vacation, job, steak through heart, sunlight, etc), derivative texture packs may be created with the understanding that should I return, the original textures will return to my sole control. Exceptions on that may, of course, be made, but that depends on the quality of the work and my benevolence at that time.
Well this is an experiment, to see if people ignore long threads.
So far the results are pointing to a solid yup.
Besides, I've been doing this pack for more than half a year, and when I started, it kinda sucked. It basically is a new pack now and I should have a thread that doesn't start with a million comments which aren't at all relevant anymore.
Well, people DO tend to skip over lots of TL;DR and look for pictures, and picture right at the top can hook them immediately....but newcomers also skim for the packs that have the most views and replies, since those are the ones that are most popular and (by extension) probably the best.
I hate to say this, but you probably screwed yourself by getting rid of your view-and-reply-loaded thread.

Eh, it still exists, if I choose to bring it back to life. Right now what I need is people's opinions, which I'm not getting. At least, nothing beyond, "oh, its so nice". Which is a complement that packs made by color blind 10 year olds using paint can get. I used to get lots of reviews when my pack was much older and much worse, now I get nothing.

You want opinions? You want opinions that are useful?? Damn, you sure are greedy... :tongue.gif:
All joking aside, THIS pack, from way back in 1.5- to 1.4-ish times, was my absolute favorite! I liked how it took the Minecraft ideas and darkened them into a more... oh, what's the word... a somewhat inviting atmosphere while not making it blindingly so. I just now found this pack again, and I plan to use the HECK out of it once again! I promise I will get back to you once I am more familiar with your new and improved version! :wink.gif:

I just realized I used the wrong compliment. Too much time in school? Thanks though, people like you keep me going (as far as texturing is concerned).
I don't quite get the non-tiling stone and the diamond block being a massive diamond inside it.
The purpose is to look amazing for construction. The original stone is still available on the customizer if you want it. I can probably do better on the diamond, but it's not a high priority since it doesn't look bad. How would you prefer it.
Was wondering why there were no updates.
Those torches.. I love. The lava just looks like tiger stripes to me. It should look something like this(?):
Maybe have a red glow with hints of light yellow areas.
Edit: I do wish the torches were a darker brown or black. But the design looks amazing
From what i can generally see, this pack is amazing. One thing I think enlightens people though, is your lack of Adfly, which i find says a lot about the person. :smile.gif:
Anyways, great pack, i hope you make it even better throughout time!
