Go to your minecraft.jar, and look for the folder "BetterGlass" inside it. Drop all of the BetterGlass files in there.
*In case it doesn't allow you to do so, un-zip the BetterGlass folder, with the JohnSmith textures in it first, and then copy-paste them into the minecraft.jar/BetterGlass folder.

The Connected Textures Mod (what is linked in the first post since BetterGlass is no longer being updated) doesn't use a "BetterGlass" folder but rather a single .png file which has connected textures for glass, chests, etc from the mod.
Personally I'm trying to cobble together the pieces into a .png by using the name of each file but it isn't working very well so far. I'm not sure I really like CTM but I have no idea how to go about updating the old BetterGlass to work with 1.6.6 so does anyone have any other suggestions?
Ok, interesting. I'll be updating to support Connected TM then.
Also, apparently the mo creatures options gui is actually for the API gui mod, so it will work with ANY mod that uses that api (Mo' creatures, Biomepack, etc.)
Haven't really had time to work on new stuff :c

Hey, I finished my PNG edit for the CTM, tested it and it seems to be working. Didn't do sandstone because I can't get it to work, but here is a PNG with connected glass, chests, and bookcases with JohnSmith textures. Hopefully this saves you some time, feel free to tweak it. And thanks for all of your hard work!

nice, but the corners are missing. below the dokucraft pic. notice the section on the right of the glass part?

Hadn't seen one for dokucraft dry, I was using a png posted for dokucraft light and it had no corners for those sections so I'm not really sure where they fit in or if they're really necessary. (EDIT: Ok, now I see. But I'm going to leave that tweak to someone else. Until then I'm just going to avoid building L-shaped glass.) The only problem I can see is a weird thickness between some of the criss-cross patterns in middle panes, have no idea how to fix that. But you can also feel free to tweak it since none of this is my original work, just trying to make it compatible until someone with a talent for pixels can make it look better.

of course they are needed, or else the frame will have holes when being concave.

Yea, I noticed that shortly after I posted. I've also realized I put some of the border pieces in the wrong place. Oh well, I should just stick to appreciating texture packs and mods. But it's better than nothing and looks ok so long as you don't get too close. :laugh.gif: Thanks for linking the download to your BetterGlass textures flying sheep, I couldn't have gotten even this temporary fix done without those bits to arrange.
Annnd someone else (SMP, for that matter!) decides to steal my chainmail texture.
You could have at least asked permission! Geez. If you edit it heavily, I'll let it go, but SHEESH. That's my texture.

reusing stuff without credit isn’t nice.
and asking for approval is good, too (e.g. the maker of gerudoku doesn’t like his unfinished textures to be used anywhere but in his pack, because that way all people get to see the final thing eventally)
but i don’t think “my texture” is the right term, because every texture lives on notch’s model in notch’s game (and probably in someone other’s mod). i respect the right of the autor, but people releasing things like textures or mods into the community of a game shouldn’t expect more than attribution.
Oh, thanks guys, but ive already done the glass and chests lol. I made two versions of the glass, one staying with the faithfull pattern and one with a Doku like pattern lile flyingsheeps.
Ive also used the blue edges in this version as well since the new mod works better than the old one. Ill be making the bookshelfs more dynamic as well.

My bad dude. I've got a **** ton of texture packs (and their old versions too) on my hard drive. I thought I had taken it from a John Smith back, but now I'm not even sure where I got it from.
I'm going to put this clearly: I don't want my work redistributed, modified or not. I do not want any of my textures to be a part of any public remix pack. I find 99% of the time, remix packs usually take an otherwise great pack and butcher them into something terrible. Don't bother asking me for permission cause I'll just say no.

Yeah, I'm confused about that too...
Can someone offer up a hint?

that’s awful, smp.
It was an honest mistake, and I've apologized man.
