can you please do a version without ugly pink sand? this would be so cool if it had normal sand.
I think the sand is just fine the way it is, but I suppose everone has different tastes. The effect is more subtle than it used to be, and is actually found in our world too. If you want to recolor it, just change the hue/saturation for that tile to a dull yellow.
Yes, I also didn't like the sand texture. I don't know what it looks like on your computer, Ghost2, but it's blatantly pink on my screen. As you suggested, I had already edited it myself to make it more yellow/orange/peachy. As seen
Now fully compatible with 1.6.x and older. I fixed a ton of artifacts, added the trapdoor (with normals), added wildgrass, did new map icons and paper, and finally added a 'wooly creeper'. There's a new screenshot too at the bottom of the top post. Enjoy!

Thanks Ghost! Love the texture pack :smile.gif: I've tried about 20 texture packs tonight trying to figure out which one I like, and this takes the cake!
My only question is - are you going to be adding a normal breaking animation in at some point? I don't like the black box with the red-green outline. Aside from that - I love this pack!

I prefer the color method over traditional 'cracks' because it gives you a more accurate idea of how far along a block is, as well as 'framing' it for better contrast. The black box isn't intentional, but is the result of a weird bug (white speckles in the grass is another bug). I'll be fixing all of these tonight or tomorrow, as well as releasing a custom shader set I'm 95% done with. We'll have to wait for Dax to update shader mod to 1.6, but with 1.5 it works fine.
Well, I've uploaded my custom shaders, adding waving plants and my bloom/highlighter components as well as optimizing everything. I've since added hand-held lights, and it works great so far; I'll update the shaders to include them once I'm done fiddling with it (still having transparency problems). The shaders still only work with 1.5 until Dax updates shadermod, probably within the next week or so.
I'm gonna do a minor update any day now featuring lots of little fixes, better contrast for a few textures, and maybe a surprise or two. I also finished my creeper skin, and I find the results to be a bit...cuddly:
I have a strong inclination to do something similar with cows too, likely something that resembles my 'leather' texture.
Dax hasn't updated the shader mod build for 1.6.6 yet, though I think there might be a workaround near the end of his thread. I think it might require modloader and recompiling classes, so it's a bit beyond my level; one or two of you might be able to get it to work though.
Well, it looks like I have to get working on the pack now that 1.7 is out. Dax hasn't updated his shader mod since 1.5, so until a workaround is found/made we'll have to live without it for awhile. I got hit by a very mean virus about a week ago, so I had to do a reformat; the pack source files are safe, but the image filters I use need to be re-installed before I can make changes. Mojang messed with the pack layouts too, so I gotta move some stuff around. Won't post anything for a week or so, so keep an eye on this post until around then.

REALLY looking forward to it! Just saw your pack on Youtube. It Looks INCREDIBLE. Exactly what I've been looking for as far as I can tell. I will certainly be keeping an eye out, thanks for the wonderful work!

The "OptiFog+Optimine" Mod also enables the ability to use HD Textures, HD Fonts, and Better Grass (just like the HD Patcher does, which is no longer needed if you use "OptiFog+Optimine" instead). However, unlike the HD Patcher, the OptiFog+Optimine Mod additionally gives you a huge speed performance boost regardless of whether or not you're on a slow or fast computer. Also unlike the HD Patcher, it also allows you to tweak a lot of other aesthetic settings such as enabling additional effects or modifying cloud heights and fog distance, animations, smooth lighting, etc, etc. Even if you enable all of the fanciest/best graphic settings with this, the mod still gives you a huge speed performance boost. So, I highly recommend using this one instead. In fact, it has allowed people to use higher-pixel texture packs that they weren't able to use before due to the speed of their computer.
Make sure you try the Multi-Threaded "MT" version first. If you have any problems for some odd reason, you can always try the Non-Multi-Threaded version instead. The Multi-Threaded version should still work fine on your computer (including an additional performance tweak or two) even if your computer's processor is not multi-core.

NOT true. :tongue.gif:
You don't actually need the HD MCPatcher for HD Textures, HD Fonts, and/or Better Grass.
You can use the OptiFog+Optimine Mod (soon to be renamed) instead.
The "OptiFog+Optimine" Mod also enables the ability to use HD Textures, HD Fonts, and Better Grass (just like the HD Patcher does, which is no longer needed if you use "OptiFog+Optimine" instead). Try the mod I posted about in the message right before yours. Then, you should still be able to handle this texture pack.
