Unfortunately the minor bug fixes have borked up something and when using a patch in texture the game crashes to desktop when placing blocks...my water temple just isn't the same without non-ugly water...
EDIT: Forgot to point out you can still select it normally from in-game.
Amazing texture pack! Love it! Then later on I decided to patch it so I could get the custom water (I don't like that blue-ish default water) worked fine until I discovered that minecraft crashed every time I tried to place a block or kill an animal. It worked fine before I patched it. Any ideas why that happened? :S
Same, worked fine in 1.5, but tried a fresh install of 1.5_01 and used mcpatcher with Joli 3.1 (usual default settings)
Game loads find, can dig but when trying to place any block the game freezes and closes after about 10-20secs.
No mods or nothing just a clean version, very strange.
I mentioned this a page back, but you are using the old version of MC patcher, which does not work with 1.5_01. There is a new patcher. The new patcher works and will not crash the game. The link is in the first post of the old patcher thread.
On another note, Andre, I know you said you cleaned up the rain in 3.1 but I still find it to be too cluttered. There is a noticable difference in visibility when compared to default texture rain. I can't go back to default though, after Jolicraft it's an assault on my eyes.
Did some rain effect testing (as some say it can look a bit heavy on the eyes)
The particles for the Joli rain are perfect and dont effect this section so no need to alter that one.
With comparing the environment/rain of original and joli I did a few tests of seeing how it can be made less cluttered.
Test One
Any rain droplets that were wider than one pixel was trimmed to only one.
Test Two
Used original Joli rain effect but this time removed droplets from the sides and a few that were a bit close together. (there will be some edge gaps I know but this was just a test and can easily add a few to sides just to blend it in more)
So you can see the second one is a lot less effect heavy than original which is easy to create so people can be happy when it rains until Andre tweaks his amazing creation.

So much love for this pack. It's really difficult to use anything else! Thank you for your hard work, and count me among the many happy Jolicraft users. :biggrin.gif:

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
despite pacific beliefs, only infliction promised her peace.
I have been using this Texture pack for a long time now, and I have noticed that you have put a lot of work into it, specially in the newest update that you have right now. my only concern is the rain, while I was building, it suddendly started to rain, at first I was exited to see the rain for the first time in this pack, but then it started to become a little irritating because the rain can barely let you see much, other then that, I love the pack, specially the alternatives. Keep up the good work!

:] There's a alternative sandstone you can use if you don't like the sponge-y looking one.
I heard about the 1.5_01 bug. I don't think I'll update until that bug is fixed. =/
YAY!

Hope this has helped anyone

Any ETA of release? Tbh manually replacing textures is keeping me from dling the new pack/playing the game XD.
That's exciting! Many thanks.
Oh man, that's amazing!
