I'm really loving this texture so far. It blows everything else out of the water for me. (Your texture pack is the pirate ship of my dreams evidently.) I was just wondering rather you were going to do the mobs as well? If so, that'd be the most epic thing ever. When this comes out it will for sure be my main texture. Thanks for the creativity.
Thanks everyone for the interest in this! It really helps justify the hours and hours of smearing clay :biggrin.gif:.
Anyway, if you really want to try this right now, I have a test version right here. This has placeholder blocks for water, lava, refined ore, and the iron door, but is otherwise complete. To install, run MCpatcher, located here, and select the claycraft.zip you downloaded. The default settings should work. Have fun!

Mobs are most definitely on the list, along with items at some point.
I'm off to make the refined ore and water/lava. I'll report in tomorrow.
I've updated the first post with a release!
Every texture in terrain.png has been finished (except cake, whoops), but there is still lots to do (besides cake, whoops). I think I will start with the mobs, which should be a lot of fun, and then the gui.
I can't remember exactly what I've changed since last time, but I'll give it a shot:
-updated dirt and side grass a little bit, expect more changes to it
-water (with flowing animations, but not idle animations)
-lava (not animated yet, but apparently mcpatcher gave it some rudimentary animations automatically...)
-redid raw ore textures with actual clay this time
-made temporary refined ore with excessive photoshop filter abuse
-other touch-ups here and there
I can already see a few problems with it (outlines on the flowers for example), but please report any problems you see, as I don't have a whole lot of time to play minecraft at the moment.
Don't know if it's just me but there doesn't seem to be any breaking textures
the blocks just get highlighted and go poof.
It's not just you, I haven't added breaking textures yet. I'm still trying to plan out how to do them. I'll whip up some temporary ones though. Thanks for downloading! Edit: Done! New file's uploaded
Are any of you really familiar with hd textures? I ask because I found a weird glitch with water, and I want to know if it's something I've done wrong or just a bug in the patcher. Here's an image of what I'm talking about:
I kinda guessed how to do hd water, so it's extremely likely it's my fault.
This is absolutely beautiful! Right now I currently use sanguine's realistic pack and I haven't been able to find anything else even remotely close to pleasing me like that pack does...except this one! I can't, can't, CAN'T wait till you finish it up...it's going to be so amazing! Just wanted to tell you great job and keep up the good work!!
Oh uh I dislike the gold block texture. I'm not a fan of the black on it. Not anything you did wrong but more personal preference on my part. I have obsidian and gold in my tower and it doesn't seem to go well with that texture.

You're absolutely right, I guess I went overboard with the filters there. I'll tone it down a bit next update.
Anyway, obligatory teaser:
Anybody know of good mob templates? It's a little hard to distinguish the sections in the texture.

No, I've had that glitch with low-res textures too. I think it's a bug in Better Light.
The new stuff looks fantastic. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but I definitely intend to and hope to give more feedback later.
I really like this pack, it's really good all around. I wish the windows had a little less frame to them though, otherwise, great pack i am currently using it.

FYI: the link you provided above to the test version doesn't work.

Thanks for keeping this alive, guys!

Glad you liked the pig! Here, have a cow:
I don't really like the iron door though, looks like grey painted wood more than iron.
