Lol. I foolishly tried running this without the patch. I copied the texture pack into my folder, and when i clicked on it in the mods and texture pack area, my game IMMEDIATELY shut down. Its like my computer was about to open it when it said "DAMN! F*** THAT!" then shut off. lol
I object to 512x GLSL, my pc will self-immolate, jump out the window and eat my food all at the same time.
Also, considering GLSL related questions: i'll be headbanging the next 3 days on a festival, and don't think i'll be online too much during that =P. (I'll be at home during the nights, so maybe i'll be around a few times before and after)
512x texture with GLSL bumpmapping? 0_0 You'll need like top of top PC to run it smoothly. I'm talking about it having
- i7 2600k overclocked 5.0GHz, water-cooled
- 2x GTX 590 overclocked to extreme levels, also water-cooled
- 16GB DRR3 2000MHz RAM
- 300GB Solid State HDD
And see how well it runs 512x with GLSL. :smile.gif:
I really need help,
i want to use higher quality texture packs as the lower quality ones are playing my eyes up so i need a solution quick.
I run windows seven with the latest version of java. I have minecraft on my ASUS laptop. but whenever i use any texture pack higher than 16 then i get enormus emounts of lag??? any suggestions other than upgrading my graphics card?
Hmmm... What are some of your computer specs? You won't need a new graphics card. Likely, you'll need a better processor (Which means a new laptop) or more RAM.
Yeah, but the 256 is just too beautiful. Not going to happen. Thanks for the help, I'll look into the optimods and try to allocate more memory to java, see if it does anything.
Quite welcome. If those mods don't work it's something you'll just have to deal with. Sorry. =/
You can give the 512x pack to someone with powerful system for testing like mine. :smile.gif:
Thought to myself: Phantom probably will get huffy at this comment.

Hot damn. Saw that coming. XD
No need to worry, I'll likely give it to both of you because I trust you won't destroy your computers with it. Besides, Phantom's computer is already broken.
I have a question about the 32x32. I'm playing in browser (so no patcher), and there's a couple of glitches (Netherrack looks like water, water is invisible, pumpkins have lava faces), and I was wondering if that was my fault for not using a patcher or if there was some mistake in the terrain.png.
Unfortunately, that's a consequence of playing the x32 without the patcher. It's nothing I can fix, but switching to the x16 will fix all of those issues.

Lmao, I wouldn't ask of you to do such a daunting task. It's an entirely new texture pack so it will even take a massive amount of time to get the right textures anyway. =)
hello, i just found an error with 64x pack, becouse when i patch him, open minecraft and starting play i get crashes minecraft.but when i start with other x packs is all good.
You know what. My friend was having the exact same issue with the x64 in general. He tried Misa's, Ovo's and mine. All other resolutions of my pack would work (x128 and x256 included), but not the x64. =S
hello i have a 32bit op system however i want to use the 64x64 texture packs (or higher) but i can only use the 32x32 without the game crapping out and crashing so can u PLEASE tell me what to do here i really really want this epic texture pack (only 64x64 or higher) and i really need help :sad.gif:

I... Do have steam. XD
Anyway, I'm going away for the weekend, but I'll work on it early next week and see if I can put out a "test" for you guys. =)

Yep, I don't think anyone in this thread have more powerful system than us. :smile.gif:
hi scuttles as you know im working ona an texturepack 64 or 128 think i start with 68 and update it as it goes on, but i dont know what theme i should have im thinking kinda like the the albion texturepack http://www.minecraftforum.net/ but more ornate style and kinda like medivel (spell'd wrong?) wonder if you think thats a good idea?
EDIT: but i want it to look better in bigger areas and albion (no offense, textures are still cool) doesnt do that.
Edit 2: know when i think about it less ornate XD but still that old feeling.
Albion isn't being updated anymore if I remember correctly. I'd think that trying to fill in that area may get some of his fans. =)

True enough. =)
I may start a "team" listed in the main post. I'll have things like lead testers, GLSL mappers, and texture artist. Maybe it will make us look more legitimate, lol

Hmm... If that's the case, are you using the HD patcher?
Everythings working great, thou something is bugging me.
Up close everything looks stunning, but at range there is some kind of noise or grain.
This is only the case if I move the camera.
Is there a solution to this?
I bet the answer is hidden somewhere in this behemoth of a thread, but I couldnt find it yet >_>
The answer is, in fact, buried in this thread but good luck getting to it. XD
There are really only 2 solutions to this grain issue. One is the AA in the GLSL mod which is quite complex to use, in my opinion. The other is the use of mipmapping which is available in 2 mods as far as I know. Optifog(maybe Optimine) has a mipmapping option and then there is the mipmapping mod itself.
Help! I tried everything you said but the 128x version won't work for me. Whenever i start the game, with that pack selected, before it gets to the menu it says it ran out memory. I know its not my computers fault because it can run any other 128x pack.
Some blocks are identical to each other in the inventory and chest, such as cobblestone, stone, and iron. Modify a bit, please.
Tested:
Version 64x.
Version 128x.
Scenes ftw.
Anyway it's only two other people, who probably aren't as awesome as we are. 8-)
