Survival Horror Mob Pack is a MOB ONLY pack. The mobs are fairly loyal to the original minecraft concepts so they can be used along side any texture pack. I had recently stated that I would be doing some skins for Dr.Zhark's Mo' Creatures mod but I will be unable to do that due to my next project which is referenced at the bottom of this post.
Aggressive Mobs
Restore the feeling of fear and anxiety you had when you first began playing Minecraft. A Complete new set of hostiles now awaits you!Bloody Zombies, cock-eyed Skeletons, and Slimes filled with human remains are lurking just around that next dark corner of your cave!
Passive Mobs
No longer will you have to feel you are wondering around an island of escaped farm animals! Cows are now yaks! Pigs are now boars! Sheep and Chickins are more wild looking!
Installation
Download and open file (with winrar, or what have you)
Open minecraft.jar (again with winrar or whatever)
Open the mob folders on both and drag EVERYTHING BUT THUMBS.DB from the survivalhorrormobpack.rar to the minecraft.jar
ENJOY!
thumbs.db is a database file associated with 303's arrow mod so if you put it in your minecraft.jar your game will crash when you shoot an arrow. I neglected to remove it when I uploaded the pack.
If you have already installed with the thumbs.db and are having this problem, simply remove it and everything will work fine!
Please let me know what you think so that I may begin the revision process. Criticism is very much appreciated!
LAST DAYS
A while back doku started a post apocalyptic sort of project under the title last days. I have recently been working on an attempt to finish that project with full texture set including a finished terrain.png, art, mobs, gui and more! Suggestions
I want them:.........please?
If you care to donate(and I honestly don't suspect anyone will, but figured it can't hurt to allow it) click the link below
Aiee! I already get nervous when I hear the rattling of bones in the complete darkness of an unexplored cave, with this pack I'd never be able to leave my shelter! However, it looks like those with a bit more backbone than me will be in for a treat soon enough! :smile.gif:

That is the idea. I find my self on the edge of my seat while playing minecraft already and thought that with a fresh set of skins and textures players who enjoy that tension could.. well... enjoy it a little more
I like all of them, but not the skeleton.. Hes look like a jerk. J/K
Good job man. :smile.gif:
heh.. I am a little unsatisfied with the skeleton to be honest.. I will likely tweak everything after the initial release. Right now I am focused on doing the unfinished mob( , cows, slime, :Spider:) and completing the last few terrain textures.
Looks great except for the creeper, green creepers are the soul of minecraft, unless the possibility of biome-creeper come out, I will stay with green ones.

That was my biggest concern. Believe me, I am aware of the creepers significance... perhaps I will return the creeper back to its old color. My thoughts were that an orange creeper looks more... explosive. but I was very hesitant to make that decision.

Sheep should be black, snarling and red eyes. Dont know if u saw the movie blacksheep. Its a comedy/horror. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0779982/
For the cow, it should be a normal cow with radiation sickness or something like that. Flesh melting on it etc.
I may give the livestock an eerie edge. but at the moment I thought I would mostly make them better suited to the wild. the clearest example I have done, and likely will do, is the boar in place of the pig

Oh, oh yeah, you definitely hit the "eerie" edge bit right on the spot. That boar is incredible yet frightening.

obviously I would go in and edit it more but here is a quick version of my creeper in green.

When can we see the terrain?
