Since this is a thread about Misa's pack, I'm going to assume that is your pack of choice, so Misa's would be on top. As I mentioned above, I put Misa on top with the KoP Photo-Realistic pack under it, and those two work very well together.
Okay, dumb question about Misa's pack. Since the villagers look like actual people instead of Squidward, I can't tell which zombies are Zombie villagers. I would like to try to cure zombie villager, but don't know which ones to capture and which to destroy. Anyone have a clue as to tell which are which?
I don't know what has compelled you all this time to make the best minecraft experience as far as texture / resource packs are concerned, but I hope all is well with you & I am very thankful to have been able to use your pack over the year(s).

It actually is quite easy to tell they look like zombified versions of her villagers, If you are still confused you can open up her resource pack and manually check out the texture to get a specific idea.
I have not really dug into the animations and such. If he wants to get in there and play around (as long as he follows Misa's licensing stuff and doesn't try to put it behind an ad fly link) I don't mind.
The patch I made started out as just a personal project for my own use. When I realized people might actually want more it kinda took more of a life of its own. Honestly, if maintaining Misa's great work during her hiatus turns into a community project... I think that is a great honor to her legacy.
I too, am having a very bad feeling about this. I certainly hope she is ok, but I fear the worst.
Such an incredibly talented artist is unlikely to just disappear and not give an update or something on a project that was clearly very close to her heart and took an almost unimaginable amount of time and talent to create. She would know that we would worry about her and would have come on by now, even if just to say that she wouldn't have time to do any more work on the project if she were just busy. She seemed like the kind of person that would come back and say goodbye if she could.

Our prayers are with you Misa, wherever you are.
It comes on a forum and on Planetminecraft almost every day. Simply at a forum it made private not to see when it came last time. And on planetminecraft it is visible. There it now 6 hours of offline. Simply it comes, but doesn't answer.
So what's the etiquette for when a developer abandons a texture pack and disappears without a word from the community? I've seen plenty of instances where people have stopped developing something but usually they have given their blessing to one or more other texture pack artists to carry on their work.
I suppose that it could carry on as a two-part affair, with the base being Misa's 1.6.4 along with other developers' "patches" to her initial work in order to bring it up to 1.7.x and beyond, but eventually Mojang will come up with another major re-write or an actual API that could render Misa's 1.6.4 unusable as a base. What then?
We're about to enter the fifth month of no word from Misa about the future of the texture pack, and it becomes a little more obsolete with every point release. How long before it's considered abandoned by the community and the work is continued by someone (not me) else?
Geez people, be more patient. Every time I go to this thread people are complaining that there is no update or that the pack has been abandoned. Clearly Misa is busy with moving (multiple posts ago), and all we can do is hold out and wait or make patches like some previous people did.

In this situation as it is all original copyrighted work by Misa. so no one one can really pick this up assuming it is actually abandoned as they do not have the rights for the original work unless Misa comes in and oks it. I would not really expect that with an artist though.
I realize it has been awhile since Misa has posted and she is losing/selling? her house. who is to say she has access to internet at this point. a this point I am more worried that she is ok more so than the pack get updated. I will admit that yes I would like the pack to be updated but I would rather see that she is ok. sometimes real life has to take president over a game
Seriously, guys, just because she hasn't posted a single thing in this thread doesn't mean she has abandoned her TP. It is not uncommon for modders to be inactive for months or even years due to real-life issues (like moving). Unless their mods are their full-time job, modding is done mostly if not only in their free time. What if Misa doesn't have Internet access in the home she moved in? What if she bumped into other problems that're keeping her from going online and giving us an update on her situation? Please take note of the reason why Misa is moving in the first place.
and, when you were able to return, someone else had been editing your work, claiming you'd stopped working on it? [...] I'd rather wait and hear what she has to say, rather than use an unofficial continuation that she hasn't approved.
If you're talking about pscof42, he never said anything about Misa discontinuing her work. He just wanted to try "filling some holes".
So far, I'm liking pscof42's textures. It blends well with this pack's style. At the same time, he still gives credit where credit is due -- apart from admitting that most of the "patched" pack is still Misa's work, he requires us to DL the orig. pack from this thread before using his patch, instead of uploading the entire thing in one link. At least I now have a reason to play Minecraft again.
Yeah, I figured. As I've said, it's not uncommon for modders to be inactive for months to years, especially if they're dealing with a huge issue. The surest way we can say it is discontinued is when the modder actually posts it is and/or they officially give the responsibility of updating it to someone else. Right now, I'm more worried about Misa's situation than this pack.
There's also another Minecraft modder I know who also moved -- MALfunction84, the Somnia mod creator. He wasn't broke, but he still couldn't get a Net connection due to issues with AT&T. You guys should check his mod's thread. It might give you an idea what it's like.
Misa/KoP(PR) is my current configuration too. I agree that those two work well together.

Hmm. Never thought of that before.
Do you guys know of any texture pack that would blend well with Misa's pack?
I've started the thread here:

You did see that post two above yours ?
