READ THIS, DIPSHIT: I do not develop any mods for minecraft, nor do I know ANYTHING about Java programming.
Please refrain from asking how to install this pack or asking why you got a black screen or errors. This is not my problem, nor is it caused by this texture pack, you are probably just stupid and do not know how to follow directions.
Click the "Rofrere is a greedy jew" button to motivate me and support the development of Bropaint!
OH MAN OH MAN, Minecraft looks like compressed balls! What do I do?!
Everyone chill out, I got this.
PRESENTING BROPAINT: THE TEXTURE PACK
Oh yeah, it's about to get real TOO REAL
Here, watch this video.
Thanks for downloading, and don't forget to leave me your thoughts!
Note: This texture pack is not 100% completed, some parts of the gui, mobs, and paintings are not included with this pack.
BUT SOON, VERY SOON!
Also note: I did not actually hand-paint this. It's photoshop, you dummy!
Feel free to submit screenshots, people have suggested using some as paintings!
Decorators pack: I replace all the cloth and metals with decorative textures, so you can design with more creative freedom, I NEED SUGGESTIONS FOR DECORATIVE TEXTURES HOWEVER, so please speak up if you have an idea.
Grass tiles weird
Gold not Gold enough
Bamboo needs to be darker
Add support for wild grass [20%]
Well, you've certainly got your own style going. I couldn't use it myself because of the 'Hand-Painted' effect. For me it would be a constant blur or smudgeness of the textures, but I applaud you for coming up with your own style.
Wooh! Very nice texture pack i think this is the only 128x i actually like , alot of the other ones are really fuzzy far away but this one is near perfect! I like the smoothness of this one. i have a few suggestions though , i think the Bamboos alittle too light , maybe try makin slightly darker, the water when still needs some animations , the leaves need some work , and the gold seems alittle to yellow and doesn't really look gold. Overall i really like this pack i was actually waiting for Peasant's texture pack to release but i think il stick with this now =)
Could you do some alternatives for the cobblestone please? That's the only thing that I really dislike in everybody's pack that uses the more traditional cobblestone, that is gray with roundish rocks in it. I prefer a more formal cobblestone.
This texture pack is, in short, amazingly beautiful. When combined with the BetterLight mod a brand new experience is created in Minecraft, one that I will not soon be departing from. When I first started playing with the BroPaint textures I spent a solid half hour simply fawning over the individual blocks, following every brush-stroke, baffled at how seamlessly the blocks mesh together. Once I started to take in the big picture I knew that this would always be my texture pack of choice. It feels like stepping into a painting, each block a delicately painted canvas cube. Somewhere in the back of my mind I feel remorse for the happy little trees I have destroyed.
Most high-end textures like this one are victims of the same flaws. The textures try to be realistic in a world that was never intended to be taken seriously and in the process murder the experience Minecraft was meant to deliver. In the process of creating realistic texture packs, people seem to forget the rendering process of Minecraft and because of that, their texture packs are cluttered with detail which makes distant terrain grainy and rough instead of a smooth, natural blur on the horizon.
I am simply elated to say that BroPaint not only delivers the same quirky and fun gameplay as the original game, but also looks beautiful at any distance. The detail of the paintings is done with soft strokes instead of hard lines, letting the detail blur together when far away, creating the closest thing to HD Minecraft I have yet to see.
The only bad thing about this texture pack is the fact that it's not finished, but it will be well worth the wait.
