Why can't I connect to any servers?
I have had this problem since Minecraft updated to 1.7.2. I thought that Magic Launcher needed to update from 1.1.7 to 1.1.8+ in order to fix this, but now I am using Magic Launcher 1.2.1 and I still can't connect to any multiplayer servers when playing version 1.7.2.
Does anybody know how I can fix this? Or is it an issue that everyone has?
Most likely that is because those servers have not updated to 1.7.2 yet because bukkit has not updated, which has nothing at all to do with magic launcher.
i'm having the error as well. Going back to 1.7.1 and it works as expected. a.a.a.a.d: null a.a.a.a.e.b(Unknown Source) a.a.a.a.c.c(Unknown Source) a.a.a.a.c.a(Unknown Source) a.a.a.a.c.a(Unknown Source) magic.launcher.av.a(Unknown Source) magic.launcher.F.run(Unknown Source) java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

Which versions of ModLoader and Forge, which version of Minecraft, error log?
Sorry for quoting you sp614x, I tried to PM you or posting here idk if you ignored me or not but can you implement command line options like in the old mojang launcher? With --username, --password --profile --server... Would be nice if you can do this, thanks
EDIT: So while fixing bugs, I launched 1.7.2 and I get this error "ERROR StatusLogger Unable to locate a logging implementation, using SimpleLogger" I guess ML couldn't find a logger in 1.7.2
Just came back to MC trying to get things setup again. I can run 1.7.2 vanilla fine but when trying to load 1.7.2 with magic launcher 1.2.2 I keep getting this error;

This probably comes from Minecraft.
MagicLauncher does not use java logging.
The command line arguments are on the TODO list
I don't know if you know about this but it seems that magic launcher drops my fps by a lot. I first tried magic launcher with optifine and saw that I only got around 90 fps compared to my 150 fps on average and even hits 200s sometime when I try without magic launcher and mods. So I installed Optifine on the main launcher and that turns out to get 200fps with it being the same settings as the default modless one (Don't know how that works). I then tested your launcher without optifine and turns out I only get 50 fps. so I concluded that there was some kind of problem. For me it is no problem in installing mods on my own but thought I would let you know for those other people who don't like to.
Just in case you want to know:
CPU: I5-4200M
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M
RAM: 8GB DDR3
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Probably the graphics driver does not recognize MagicLauncher as a game and uses a "power-saving" profile or the integrated graphics to run it. Check the graphics driver settings.
Also to note; I can't change the location in Options, I click browse and it simply opens a window in my file manger but the window is nothing more then a general one selecting a folder or file only accesses it and doesn't change the path in options nor can I manually enter a new path.

Apparently I have lost my mind. If you find it, then clearly I'm not the only one.

Minecraft 1.7.2 needs the Environment 1.7.2 in order to run, you have selected classic environment, which is for pre-1.5 minecraft.

There may be more versions coming, until all the bugs are ironed out.
Or until I get out of ideas to implement, or until MCP is released so I can switch to developing OptiFine 1.7.

The Browse button in Options does just that: browsing the minecraft directory, nothing else.
The game directory can be changed in Setup -> Advanced.

That just makes me want MCP to take that much longer to be updated. I can always think of new ideas for you to implement in Magic Launcher in the meantime.
SUGGESTION #1:
Based on the version of Minecraft detected, automatically implement the parameters fix:
Or, alternatively, add a checkbox that allows you to manually implement those parameters without typing them or copying and pasting them in.
There are also other items on your "To-Do" List that should be looked at. Things like better LiteLoader Mod support and detecting mods placed in a mod sub-directories of the downloaded package file (such as for Single-Player Commands).
SUGGESTION #2:
Add a "Mod Setup" Support System where mods can include an instruction setup file in their mod's download package for the sole purpose of working better with Magic Launcher (much in the same way Forge mods can include an "mcinfo" file providing extra information or resource packs can include a file on how to handle connected textures). For example, Magic Launcher could be able to check the Single-Player Commands Mod's download package for the special Magic Launcher setup file and it would tell Magic Launcher to automatically copy the WorldEdit.jar file to the proper location since that file needs to be put in a separate place. This would also be good for library files (also specified on your To-Do List) like for TurboModelThingy where certain library files need to be placed in specific locations.

I had exactly the same problem. For some reason Minecraft had much lower fps with Magic Launcher.
What was wrong: The path to the java version was incorrect. I think Magic Launcher used the java.exe.
I changed it to the javaw.exe and everything was fine again!
Path: (Installation folder)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe
You can change the path in ML here: Setup-> Advanced-> Java.
I hope this helps you.

on 1.7.2 servers I've found a lot of blocks have become unbreakable (dirt/leaves/whatever) break them and they're still there
while other places blocks have become unplaceable - the blocks will seem placed for a split second but then return to me
at home we've tested restarting the sever restarting the sessions and it seems to only be a problem with ML booted sessions
