as stated the 'No mods found' is something that happens alot, i have the backpack mod and it works perfectly. to test if a mod is working or not make a new map (with the caves one you have to anyway) with cheats on, so you can go into creative mode, and check to see if the backpacks are there at all in the inv editor.
as for the mob desguise mod i believe its a server side plugin for bukkit so i dont think it would work client side.... the only way to really tell for that one is to try and use the mod (i believe its a command line activated mod) and change to a mob i guess...

i did do that..... i placed the crafting recipe for backpacks in a crafting bench, no backpack..... i did try to create a cave gen world... only the basic options showed up.... and the shapeshifter one could have not existed for how it worked...... maybe i just don't have something required for the launcher... :/

I set the client in a different folder to keep it separate, and edited all the options I needed to in the launcher.

1. For the modding errors, add a legend at the bottom of the launcher that shows what each error means, and for muliple errors, when you have your mouse go over it, a little text box will appear that will show what the errors are.
2. For the Configuration, add groupings to your configs to make things easyier, as well as being able to rearrange them. Like having 3 different 1.7.3 Configs, and you can put them in one folder.

i agree, and probably a re-organizer too so if mods aren't organized properly, it will prompt to reorganize.
also maybe an icon popup when you scroll over a mod that has an issue, telling you the issue, that would make our lives much easier....
So I went to go play on Magic Launcher and I decided to Test on my portal gun config. I migrated my acc to a Mojang acc recently, so my username was my email. During my ingame testing, I died and it said the following:
(my email) hit the ground too hard
I retried with my username and it said "PokemonFan2000M died", which is what was supposed to happen. I realized that with the Test part, people could go onto certain servers being AntVenom. So you should probably change that before things get out of hand. Thanks!

Is this picture still an accurate view of how your mods are loading? I.E. is Modloader & ModLoaderMP still in the list and is Forge still that far down the list?
If so then you need to remove the ModLoader and ModloaderMP mods from that list and then move Forge to the top of the list. if its still not working after that im not sure...
Also Optifine should be at the bottom of the list as well but im sure we can ignore that till after we get the other mods working
Please remove or a button to disable the curse news part of the client. Due to the massive amount of pictures and videos on the website it lags and sometimes crashes the application for me.
I have a suggestion, can you make this reassign ids, to stop ID conflicts? If all the Ids are used then it will tell you no remaining IDs

How about a specific texture pack for each configuration, i hate it when i need to switch textures because i am on a snapshot, when switching back takes forever since i use HD textures. So... end of my boring reasoning and please add this to your todo list.
And that ran great. But then I decided I wanted Tropicraft. So I downloaded it and put it in the external mods like the website said to, but that gave me a White Screen after the Mojang logo loaded. So I put it in the internal mods because Magic Launcher said it was a internal mod. But that led to the same white screen problem. Magic Launcher said there was no errors though. So why is this happening?

IIRC - when there's a "Bad version number in .class file" this usually means that you're trying to run the program with an older version of JAVA installed - what version are you running ?? OR

You seem to have a couple of problems here
1) It can't connect to any of the 'News' servers for some reason... this could be because they are down, something is blocking it (firewall perhaps)'
If you Edit 'Magic' Cfg file (in /magic/ folder) so that LoadNews="false" you can bypass this feature
2) It can't find the version of minecraft for some reason....what version are you running ??
(I'm not sure if this is 'normal' as I've never seen it before)
3) It's complaining about lack of memory to start JAVA.... how much memory have you got on your PC ?
If you have an integrated Graphics card - don't forget some of your memory will be used up for this as well as Minecraft AND JAVA
I notice you've assigned 1024Mb to Minecraft.... try lowering it down to 512Mb

'No Mods found' is 'normal' - you may find that the MOD actually does work (sometimes).

Try removing one of the 'mod_playerEnchantments 0.8' from the list and see as you have it listed twice here
