were can i fine this bin folder and 1.6.2 folder??
windows:
search for %appdata% in the start menu -> .minecraft (bin folder is here) -> versions (minecraft versions sownloaded from the latest official launcher are here)
mac is different, google it
however you may need to add
-Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true
to parameters in the advanced tab of magic, i'm not sure what causes this but you have to do it to launch mods that can't be placed in the mods folder
Awesome Minecraft launcher! Just wondering, is it normal that some ModLoader-required mods do not work w/ the Magic Launcher, but they work with the official launcher?
Anybody getting no sound using the Magic Launcher? Because when I launch it with the vanilla launcher it has sound, but when I launch it with Magic Launcher there's no sound. Any help?
Hey, I think this may be my first post on here. I've been lurking for years though, I'll try to be as clear and concise as possible.
Here is my log
*** MagicMinecraftLauncher 1.1.7 ***

I'm attempting to just run vanilla Minecraft. No mods even added to Magic Launcher yet.
I've re-downloaded Minecraft twice, using the Mojang launcher. I've located the 1.6.2 environment and have it selected. I've deleted the magic folder, which had no settings in it. I have the latest Java 7 JRE as of today.
A previous version of magic launcher quit working on me, probably a year ago, while fiddling with settings trying to optimize my system. I've been trying to get it working since, but no version and no advice from the forum has worked yet. I've seen similar log posts but nothing is fixing my issue.
Just in case here are the contents of MagicLauncher.cjg
Magic Launcher is the best thing that happened to me. No more headaches for installing mods!(It has became really hard in 1.6.2..)
But, i did it with Single Player Commands, it installed, but the world edit that came with it didnt install... How do i install that?
You knew I'd growl if you posted that where it belongs, didn't you?
It's posted all over the SPC thread but to know that you have to READ!
CREATE a new folder under */.minecraft. Name it "bin". Put the WorldEdit.jar in it!
Guess what I growled anyway! Please learn to READ!

Magic launcher doesn't seem to be compatible with Forge. I have tried several Forge mods and it says it is compatible but the mods aren't working. The log says nothing about any issues at all. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
@whiteghoul I think the problem is that you didn't open up Minecraft with the normal launcher before using Magic launcher. Try that and see if it works.

See, for some people, that doesn't work. For example, I had to make a mods folder and put WorldEdit.jar in the SPC folder creted inside of the mods folder by SPC. Of course, I did manual and I don't know if your method is the only one that works for MagicLauncher.
There are 5 versions of 1.6.2 SPC with 3 different installation instructions.
Had you READ my installation instruction ALL of them are explained.
I think once opened q3's versions 5.0dev2, 5.0 dev, and 5.0 all create the necessary directory.
I prefer 5.0dev2. I've used them all. At one point I had WE.jars in 4 different locations (1.6.1 is different too). All the WE.jars are the same.

If this was to me, quote me if you want to reply. I didn't read your instructions, not everyone is going to read your posts, but you certainly think they do. Anyways, I didn't know there were different instructions for different versions of 1.6.2 SPC.
That's why you should READ! Page 1, post 1 (including spoilers and links) in it's entirety, plus the last 5 pages of posts for EVERY Mod you even consider using. Do that and you'll very rarely need to ask a question or be surprised with a crash!

Installing OptiFine with Forge and/or LiteLoader (Magic Launcher) OptiFine is an amazing mod. While it doesn't always work for everyone, it can potentially speed up your graphics, and make the overall game look a lot better. Because of the amount of things that it does, using it with Magic launcher can require an extra step or two:
Add OptiFine to the mods list by using the Add button. Always use the Down button to place it last on the list. (Even if you have added OptiFine as a library into the environment's JSON file, add it here again.)
If you are running Forge, in the Advanced tab of the setup screen, add the following to the Parameters box:
-Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true
I tried doing this and I got this error message in the log:

Try re-installing Minecraft by using Mojang's official launcher.
I don't know what went wrong i completely deleted everything with magic launcher and re downloaded it (cause i had the same problem and thought it could fix it, i didn't change anything in any folders it anything it is a clean minecraft file), and tried running it on default and it still won't launch anything. There is nothing wrong with the .minecraft folder, really not sure what to do

your order of mods is reverse in LPC.
i think you need to change it to the same order of your list.
Use #804 Forge download, it's working. I've just encountered similar error with the latest Forge version.
