Try putting Custom Mob Spawner's mod files into the mods folder in your .minecraft directory
So launcher will load and "replace" every file regardless of its original position in minecraft.jar?
But it still does not work :sad.gif:
Minecraft.class is special, it has to be in the folder "net\minecraft\client\" in the ZIP file.
Magic Launcher should still say "no mods found" but the mod should work.
This seems to be happening every time I start a new world now. Just like last time, I start a new world, it plays fine. I get a bit of work done, make some progress, decide to take a break. I try to open the world again, NullPointer error again, just like last time ._.
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

... it isn't very efficient for installing mods IMHO ...
:blink.gif:
Not very efficient for installing mods? Are you nuts?
I believe most people would say that Magic Launcher is a LOT MORE EFFICIENT than manually inserting mods into your minecraft.jar file each time. And, add to that, the ability to test mods and create different profiles you can quickly and easily switch between without having to backup your minecraft.jar file each time etc. How on Earth could you find this less efficient?
This is not a cake because it is no lie. Finally a "better then" launcher that does exactly as it says on the tin. :biggrin.gif:
But maybe you could add a compile button to well compile all the mods into a jar for you. I know this is new and under heavy dev so it is just a suggestion. Let me know what you think. I will continue to use this for as long as you keep it going.
Thanks for reading and making this very well done launcher,
Redbyte
Cheers

Sorry if this has been already suggested, but you should add something that lets you download and install the weekly snapshot (not automatically of course, there would be some kind of button).
Hello! I came over here to let you know of a problem I was having with magic launcher. When I tried to install optifine (whatever version) on a clean jar, and then install one of the shader packs (the original or sonic's), Magic launcher would always come up with this error:

Fresh minecraft install, minus the folders with screenshots, texpacks, stats and options. No mods. No idea why this isn't working. Minecraft does work without MagicLoader.
EDIT: Nevermind, turned out I had an extra lwjgl.dll in my java bin folder. Deleted it. Fixed. Working.

I see you have options for window size in this mod, but it defines the outer window size of Minecraft. For recording purposes an option for defining the inner window size would be pretty awesome as a feature.
I've just got a very simple request, and no idea if it's at all feasible, but could you allow us to change the icon of the .exe?
If not, no worries.
If you make a "shortcut" to either the ".exe" or the ".jar" file, you can change the icon properties of that shortcut and select an ".ico" image file to use for that shortcut.
You can use something like the completely FREEGreenfish Icon Editor Pro (what I use) to convert an image to an icon file. The latest version is currently Version 2.3.
The image that I currently use for my Magic Launcher shortcuts is this one that I made:
Try putting Custom Mob Spawner's mod files into the mods folder in your .minecraft directory
Thanks I've got it working now...this is a great tool especially when switching between a server and multiplayer.
The Higurashi kids hate griefers...so do I.
i like the launcher :biggrin.gif:
thankyou!
Minecraft.class is special, it has to be in the folder "net\minecraft\client\" in the ZIP file.
Magic Launcher should still say "no mods found" but the mod should work.
Firewalls let the launcher through ?
I don't think I'll be using it, it isn't very efficient for installing mods IMHO...but...
Still works with Lion Fullscreen, has a clean UI...pay what you want, DRM free, cross-platform and helps sp614x.
Here's a Mac screenshot if anyone wants one:

I'll stick with the normal launcher. Also, I can't seem to force update with this one.
Also check out EasyJar! Works great with DLML.
But maybe you could add a compile button to well compile all the mods into a jar for you. I know this is new and under heavy dev so it is just a suggestion. Let me know what you think. I will continue to use this for as long as you keep it going.
Thanks for reading and making this very well done launcher,
Redbyte
Cheers
