The launcher log (Setup -> Show Log) shows the error.

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.

The 32-bit Java is limited to 2000 MB. In reality the limit may be lower depending on memory usage. On my computer it is 1500 MB.
To allocate more memory you need 64-bit Java installed.

Thanks for the answer , i also did a bit of fast google research and found the same answer . The work you're doing here is great . You have my respect . :smile.gif:

the status for my mods in the external mods have "no ModLoader!" even though i do have it. Can you clarify why its giving me this and if there is a special location i'm supposed to put ModLoader.
    I'm running mc 1.0.0 on a mac.

It was not checking minecraft.jar when searching for ModLoader.
    Version 0.8.4 should work correctly.

Hey, this looks awesome but I'm unsure how I go about installing it? Once I've downloaded the file, what do I need to do?

Just double click the downloaded jar file and it should start.
    No special installation needed.

Mine causes it to open with WinRar by default, so can't double click. Which program should it use to open/run with?

Double click the downloaded jar file and it should start.

If if does not work, maybe this can help you:

You can assign "Jar Launcher" as the default app. to use when you double-click a jar file,
    as follows:

Click once on the .jar file in the Finder and then from the menubar in the Finder select
File -> Get Info". Click on "Open with" and from the popup menu select "Other".
A file browser window will open. In this window, go to the /System/Library/CoreServices
folder and select 'Jar Launcher'. Then make sure the "Always Open With" checkbox is checked
and then click Add. Then click the "Change all" button so that any jar file will be opened
automatically. Finally, close the Info window and now when you double-click any of your
jar files they should run automatically.

I am having trouble downloading this.
Just sits on "Preparing download request".
    Anyone else having this problem?

    EDIT:
Ha, so apparently I had to use FireFox. Guess Chrome is to Superior.

This is awesome! Only two small things..

Remember me -box doesn't work on login. I can't click it.

There isn't icon for this .jar file.

    Both on Snow Leopard Mac.

Be sure to open it with Java. Try right click and select Open With...

Just open Magic Launcher instead of the regular minecraft.exe. You can even delete minecraft.exe, you dont need that anymore.
