when i render an animation there seems to be some line gaps in the edges of his head so i can see through him through the lines...how doez i fix this?
if this is with the one i downloaded, I will make vid today. or just click on the head and press delete (there seems to be an invisible box there.) Also i have found a way to render it properly. Will have vid today.

What you are asking for kid would take a month or two to build in maya. Last i checked if there had been one like captainsparklez's rig it would already have like, a few million downloads. The rig being offered to you right now is the one you should use for the time being. Maybe you can also learn to make your own rig? The problem with the one you are asking for is that it is so advanced that if you don't have a background in the program, you would probably kill yourself. You could also try asking BoostrapBuckaroo (Don't no if i spelled that right) if he could give you the rig. Another problem is the texturing, all of that stuff in Revenge and Fallen Kingdom was done by hand. Sorry but there is no special rig on this thread.

Wait, why would it take a month or two?
I've never used Maya, so I'm just wondering... Just fingers, mouths, and eyes would be that difficult?

I'm acually working on a rig as stated above. It's really not that hard. I currently have eyes moving about, eyes resizing, individual eye brow movement(rotation and up and down). I have only been working on it for 3 days, and that's with finals, school projects, homework, and a social life. I only started using maya right off the bat, knowing nothing, about a week or two ago. Mouth shoun't be too hard. individual fingers will the the hardest part. And some reason for the life of me, i cant get bones to work propery.
On a completly different note, i made a small dance video with this rig i thought you guys might like. It should be running faster but i needed it to be 30 seconds long.

I actually have a fully functional face rig at the moment( except horizontal mouth resizing) Do you know any good resources for the body movement? When i try to import into my project it only lets me edit and move the "bones" so to speak but not the blocks themeselves. Please help!
You don't; this one is for making animations and renders. I believe there is a tool floating around on this forum that lets you convert 3D models into Minecraft code, however. I may be wrong of course - it might just be a tool for making models that can be used in Minecraft
The reason this particular model is impossible in Minecraft (without significant rewrites to code) is because the arms and legs can bend (meaning they have more than 8 vertices, otherwise they wouldn't look like they do when bent), meanwhile Minecraft's code only produces models made of boxes with 8 vertices each.
ok so lets say i am good at coding (witch i am not) and i have model with that fit to limits of minecraft i can use maya to model mobs and items for mods?

you could make something to look like what you want, but there isnt anything that could take maya into java code. You would have to model what you want, and then use it as a guide when coding.

Or use Techne; apparently it lets you model and export as code. Currently it has an Import button which seems to do nothing, so you'd have to make the model within Techne.
For reference, here's the Minecraft code for the default humanoid model (used by players, etc.):
Notice how it's built out of boxes? Specifically, boxes specified by a corner position (x,y,z) and a length, height, depth, and scale. That's why it's inherently impossible to straight-up convert from Maya (or any other popular 3D format) to Minecraft code - it would have to only contain boxes, and those boxes cannot be rotated. Anything else a converter couldn't handle... And this model is one thing such a converter would not be able to handle.
EDIT: I should clarify that there's more code behind it than that; I just don't think it'll help to post it all.
how do you skin the rig and i know you change the char with ur own but how do i put that skin onto the rig?
open up the hypershade window. find lambert1, press and hold right mouse button, and move to "graph network"
find the file, double click and look to the right. find the path location, and change it to the char file.

perhaps it is in a reference layer? if you build this shouldnt you have a good handle on it?
