Maybe he needs some more rainbow letters on the main page telling people that.
I'm surpised you can say that. When clearly your wrong... :/ Try it for yourself.

Are you sure that will work? Because I'm pretty sure I have a new seed. I know because Horses spawn on it. Just like you'll never find a seed in the 1.2 version with any temples.
In other words I think I have a seed that is new with 1.6.1 -1.6.2 You can try getting it to work yourself. But if you do I'd be happy to know. Really I incurage you to try it. Here is the seed... -6605863627162808565
Well you see, the terrain generator is the same but with every update new features would appear on them, otherwise it would be impossible to find horses on 1.5 seeds. But if you took a 1.2 seed and put it through the 1.6 terrain generator, you would find temples.
From the Author's latest posts on his profile, I can tell that he is working towards the new patch. Good news for us then. Good luck sir!

You are aware, aren't you, that Skidoodle has been saying for quite some time that Amidst v2.1 DOESN'T work properly for large biomes?
This problem has NOTHING to do with whether or not you're using 1.5.2 or 1.6.1. This problem has existed pretty much ever since large biomes were introduced.
Also, I'm surprised that people are having problems after updating from 1.5.2 to 1.6.1. When I updated I renamed my old launcher from minecraft.exe to minecraftOLD.exe and then copied the new launcher, also named minecraft.exe to that same folder. I didn't have to change my desktop shortcut.
When 1.6.1 installed the installer added the new folders and files but left all the 1.5.2 folders and files alone.
The new launcher will launch 1.5.2, 1.6.1, and a modded 1.6.1 depending upon my desires.
Since the old minecraft.jar is where Amidst expects it to be, in the bin folder, Amidst works fine since the world generator didn't change with the 1.6.1 update.

This is exactly what I did too, and I haven't had a single problem yet either.

Hello I'm going to tell you how to get AMIDST 2.1 to work with 1.6. You may notice it says that it can't find a valid jar file in the bin folder and if you tell it to work with the new jar, you get an error. But I have a simple solution.
1.) Simply download an UNMODDED 1.5.2 jar file from the old launcher and make sure it's named "minecraft".
2.) go to run and type %appdata% and open the .minecraft folder.
3.) Create a new folder in there and name it "bin"
4.) Move your 1.5.2 jar file in there (remember, it must be unmmoded)
5.) Start AMIDST and load up any world and it should work.
The reason why you have to do this is that AMIDST isn't updated to handle Minecrafts new file structure, but if you create a folder called bin and move a valid 1.5.2 jar in there, it will run off of 1.5.2's terrain generation. But since there are no changes to the seed generation between 1.3 and 1.6. It should load perfectly

Usually you create a batch file or modify the launch properties for the program. Depends on what OS you ware running. But most likely you are getting that error because of a modded jar, get a clean version of the 1.5.2 jar from a link posted above and use that.

I can get the program to work on any of my single player maps but am unable to access my server map through the file or seed #. It brings up a list of errors a page long. I don't understand what is going on because the file has not had any mods and it worked with the last amidst program. I am not the brightest one when it comes to computers but I am guessing something is wrong with my files. So I don't know how to set everything back to default but keep my seed to access it.
If I am way off from what the main problem is here please let me know. Sorry I am not the best with computers so if this has been asked before please send me a link.

it isnt updated to 1.6 yet, or can I still use it?
If you use the 1.5.2 jar posted in a link above, it will work. It won't work with any version newer than that. Terrain generation hasn't changed much or at all between 1.5.2 and 1.6.x so there should be no problems there.

Wow! This program worked very well. I did not use it for finding a strongehold, altho I did find it, but I rather use it to find a mushroom biome. props to ya
I'm on PC. Its saying its "Unable to find minecraft.jar. Please locate it" and when I open the path to the jar it says "Error loading minecraft.jar". How do I fix this???

What version are you attempting to load? If it's a 1.6.2 version it won't work. BigAlanM gave a link to the 1.5.2 .jar earlier on this page; if you download that and point AMIDST to it, it should work.
