After being annoyed by Minecraft's fullscreen feature for years (a few days), I decided to make an application which allows you to run Minecraft in borderless windowed mode (-windowed -noborder in Source games anyone?).
With this application you will have the joy of alt-tabbing out of the game without crashing or leaving fullscreen mode and having an easy way to exit the game.
A Windows OS (Yes, XP is fine)
NET. Framework 4 Client Profile (If you still don't have it, you can download it here.)
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: The application won't start! What do I do? A: You don't have NET. Framework 4 Client Profile installed, check the previous section on where to get it.
Q: I managed to break it! A: Send me a PM with the error log on the forums and I'll take a look.
Q: Great, now I can't exit the game. Thanks a lot. A: Hold down the ESC key for 1 second.
Q: I changed the location of my Minecraft launcher and now the application crashes! A: This is a known problem. Open up regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Minecraft Borders, delete the LauncherPath value and restart the application.
This first release focuses only on the main program function - running the game in borderless windowed mode, try not to report any bugs related to the Configuration dialog or launcher detection - those will be fixed in the next release.
I really like this mod! I know what people say like "just press f11!" and such but minecraft's default fullscreen option doesn't work for me on my laptop. This mod did fix my problem in a way so thanks so much :biggrin.gif:
