Back with more brushes. I just watched a video by Jamziboy, and since he didn't post his brushes, I decided I would recreate them for you, whom I love:
THANK,
YOU
I really didn't want to have to make brushes myself. In part because I didn't want to, and mostly because they wouldn't turn out very good. This is a huge help.
Might upload some of my own custom brushes if people want. Just a critique though Catastrophe, your high points seem a bit too bright. Might end up with some really steep points.

They actually work fine, but the edges aren't perfect, I should have adjusted the curves a little darker so they blend with the landscape better. Again, they worked jsut fine for the picture I posted, so it should be alright.
For anybody concerned about Jamziboy and copyrighted material, he could not post those because he is (I believe) a youtube partner and couldn't post unoriginal content. Since my brushes don't generate revenue for me or anyone, its fine if they're here.

Of course the same goes then that people can't use these for anything that generates revenue then, if I'm not mistaken
You can actually create your own heightmaps for brushes using Terragen 2, that's what the maker of the original image did and what I do. If people want I could upload a video showing the process (It's a bit difficult to figure out otherwise)

Holy Sh*t you guys are good at world painter. If anyone'll be nice enough to make me a map, I just might give you a fair payment. PM me for extra information
I need some tips on how to get this map to look less boring. As you can see, I am shooting for realism in terms of biome placement (and how large they are). It just looks boring and needs more quality. I can't put my finger on it but I need some suggestions.
I made a map using world painter and its the best map i have ever made. The map is a survival map. The story is that you were on a helicopter tour near the Caribbean and you crashed because of a blown engine, the goal is to just survive
Hello, everyone, I just was introduced to WorldPainter, and I would like to say to you, CaptainChaos, I am very impressed! WorldPainter is simply an exceptional program!
Furthermore, I would like to finally upload my very first WorldPainter map! It is quite simple; just a Nordic looking island. The island is complete with two mountain ranges, a deep river, towering cliffs, a waterfall, and a large lake! If you would like, you could use this for survival purposes, as the map is complete with ores, trees, and seedlings.
Nontheless, here are some pictures I took. First we have the 3-D view:
Here's another one, but this time from a different angle:
Next we have the 'overhead' view, if you will:
And here is the heightmap, if your interested:
Well, I suppose that that's it! Please leave ideas on what you'd like me to do next, as well as feedback for this map. If you would like a download, just PM me, and I'll get to it.
Thanks for reading!

EDIT: I took some new pictures in Eihort, and I have to say that they look quite well. I'm sorry the leaves and tall grass look so strange, it just happend that way. Here they are, anyway:
I'm thinking of making my map into a custom map, stay tuned!
if that picture isnt enough check out the server map from our development page

and heres a screen from the valley
I have to say, for a beginner, that is really good! The picture from the valley looks beautiful. I wish Minecraft generated terrain like that!
Very impressive for a beginner! You should definitely make more!
Care to share your way of making such amazing mountains?

Overview:
Here are a few maps I've made with world painter http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1929754-sharpcastle33s-cartography/
My two best maps would be the one I made for the wand project, which you can find their topic here:
www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1929047-the-wand-project-
and the one I made for my own server, which you can find in my signature.
