Hello, Is it possible to add a dimension to chunky? Something like Twilight forest? I had a error with the chunk generation there where some biomes conflicted and stuff. So i removed the conflicting biome mod but now im left with a ugly gravel looking area near my starting area there.
Someone has written a script to make chunky render video (kinda, lots of small renders). I fail to see how it could be used as a benchmark though, as it doesn't even do anything like java Minecraft. I don't think it pays too much attention to drawing the geometry as it doesn't change, it just bounces "light" off a static set. llbit or yourself, insomniac_lemon may have a better understanding though.

If someone in an S class cuts me off, I don't get upset. He obviously has important things to do. Now, someone in a Toyota? We're fighting.
These forums are dumb and break my links. I'm bubbleawsome on steam too.
Does Chunky render maps in item frames. I want to create some custom signs with them.
EXAMPLE:
Don't seem to work for me

That was my point, the person I replied to was asking for model support.
With model support, video renders or renders of large scenes would take longer (percentage wise) with complicated models versus no custom models. Obviously it wouldn't be a perfect benchmark of the effect on Minecraft performance, but it might be handy as a basic tool to say 'maybe this won't affect performance too much on decent computers'. Better than nothing.

Hopefully someone in this thread can help me out a little.
I'm not that new to Chunky, but I've recently been experiencing problems with chunk loading when downloading worlds (World Downloader Mod) while my client is on 1.9. Chunky just stops after starting to load the chunks from my selection (note the very small amount of chunks I'm trying to render):
Ok, so if there is a better place to ask about this, then let me know.
I have a problem. I am able to do renders fine, but I get these weird spots or either really light, or really dark pixels, nowhere near where the color should be.
Heres some examples. Both are of larger maps, but I get the same thing in smaller selections. Both renders were rendered to 2000 SPP
In this first image it is most obvious in the reflective surface (water) but also appears in the pyramid itsself
The second image is a bit harder to spot, but it is in the shadows of the buildings (primarily the one in the image focus). Here is appears as whitish to yellowish specks.
Hi Ryermeke, this is a pretty tricky bug. The short answer is that it's a known bug in Chunky.
The dark/light spots can sometimes be caused by floating point calculation errors that cause the pixel color to be set to a NaN or infinite value. Once a pixel value is NaN or Inf it will stay that way. I've tried to solve it by making sure the floating point arithmetic is correct, but sometimes rounding leads to a zero-division even though it should have been non-zero. It might be possible to just discard any NaN values that occur in a sample buffer before it is merged into the current render.

Snapshot 1.4.0-alpha1
I uploaded a new snapshot release last evening. It's the first alpha version of Chunky 1.4.0, with lots of UI changes. The whole User Interface has been rewritten in JavaFX, making it much more modern.
Chunky version 1.4 has been released. I rewrote the whole GUI in JavaFX and fixed many bugs in this release. Support for Minecraft 1.10 blocks has been added.
NOTE: Chunky now requires Java 8 update 40, or later!
You can find download links for the latest version here: Chunky Downloads
The full change log for this release is below:
ChangeLog
Chunky now requires Java 8 update 40, or a later version.
Added rendering for Minecraft 1.10 blocks:
Bone Block
Magma Block
Red Nether Brick
Nether Wart Block
Modernized the Chunky User Interface by rewriting it in JavaFX.
Most of the UI remains similar to the old version, but some parts were redesigned:
Controls for multiple cameras have been simplified.
The Highlight tab has been merged into the Options tab.
The gradient editor and color pickers were slightly redesigned.
Added some sky gradient presets.
Removed the fullscreen option for the preview window.
Removed old features that were not well supported. The goal is to make these into separate plugins:
Removed the benchmark tool.
Removed the experimental OpenCL renderer.
Holding Control while moving the camera multiplies move distance by 100.
The render preview scaling option has been moved into a context menu. Right clicking the render preview window brings up the scaling menu.
Added option to show guide grid in the render preview. The option is accessed through the right-click context menu.
Pressing Space in the render preview window starts/pauses/resumes rendering.
Fixed player entities not being saved if they were the only entity type in a scene.
Fixed bug preventing new players from being added to a scene if no players were already loaded.
Minor changes to the UI:
Added an icon to the camera view visualization.
Removed the chunk loading indicator icon.
Removed the player Y position indicator.
Removed fullscreen preview.
Added new command-line options:
Added -list-scenes command.
Added -merge-dump command.
Made it possible to manually set the Chunky settings directory using a system property (java -Dchunky.home=DIR).
I just rendered my first image ever and noticed that all the flowers have gone missing.
Green Circle: The ones in flower pots have vanished.
Red Circle: The ones on the ground have turned to lava cubes (?).
What could the problem be? I am currently using a mod that adds blocks to the game (That's what those floating fences are). Could that be what's causing this?
Greetings! I'm just getting to know Chunky (so this may be an error on my part) and I am seeing a bug with rendering player entities in Chunky version 1.4.2. When loading an Alex model player entity into the scene, the skin loads correctly. However, when manually selecting an Alex skin (3 px wide arms), the model appears to use the Steve texture coordinates (4 px wide arms) and just shrinks the arm model, creating "holes" and overlaps in the entity's arms. (Hope that made sense!)

I know llbit doesn't actively monitor this thread, but I don't have a GitHub account. Could someone verify this bug and post to the issue tracker? And if it's something I've done wrong, please correct me! Thanks!
Hey, I'm using Chunky for some time now, but never rendered a build with custom skulls, when I start rendering they always appear like steve heads. Is there a solution to this?
Hey so I just started using Chunky and I can't seem to make the 3D rendering work. I make the selection then go to 3d Render and say new scene but it ends up blank and not loading anything with a message saying and I quote "WARNING: Can't load chunks right now" Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im having the same issue also i was trying to load 14,000 chunks it stopped on 8,104
i am having the problem where if i raise the ram usage over the default 1024 to about 2000 it gives me an error anyone got a solution

Is there any way of Rendering with 3D models?
Observe, I have this in my resource pack:
Then this is what it looks like in Chunky!
And I can't render using SUES, because, ugh, shaders mod... I am using 1.8.9, and Minecraft crashes!
I am in your dreams, haunting you!
Can I have that 85%?
How can I set the launcher to use more memory without it having the error code in the debug console: "error occorred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for 1771520KB object heap
Chunky exited abnormally with exit value 1"
Now it freezes my Computer! I'll try uninstalling and re installing.
I just rendered my first image ever and noticed that all the flowers have gone missing.
