NoTarts, mbilker, GamerNHP here! I modified some parts of the code to make it compatible with Minecraft 1.7.5. Can I have the permission to distribute it? I modified mbliker's minecraftp and changed a few bits of code. Thank you!

I downloaded and installed it, but the launcher green bar goes to the end and never launches the game.

Whenever I start it I get this:

Thank you so much guys for creating this useful program and making portable Minecraft possible! I think this is an option they should include in Minecraft itself.

For those that were having problems with installing the program or were hesitant to use 3rd party launchers to make Minecraft portable, here is also a video tutorial that shows how to make Minecraft portable by yourself and run it without having Java installed. Works with all versions of Minecraft (including Minecraft 1.8):

You can also use this procedure to make almost any Java application portable, run it from USB and on computers that don't have Java installed.

All the credit for the programs goes to their respected authors.



P.S. The OP's program is still much easier to use than to do this procedure by yourself.

wow , awesome but i realized that i can only play demo

cuz i dont have a purchased mojang account ,i though the portable version was like the normal version of minecraft , can be played with no account

I get a 404 not found error when I try to download the file.

Where is it?

EDIT: I was able to download the sources and build my own version.

Wow, I actually just made a java program JUST like this on accident and found this one...http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-tools/2804152-usb-mc-portable-minecraft-launcher

Its a bit more complicated to do so, and it wouldn't be multi-platform anyway, the launcher is windows only, unless you use the .dmg or AUR version for mac or linux, in that case its not portable... but the old launcher is just fine, every modpack launcher is going to be using it, because its easier to use and support multi-platform anyway.
