Direct me to it? I know of none that are cross platform, lightweight, command line only, and Java open source.
Interesting that he cannot produce the link :sad.gif:
Oh well.
Anyone else? The point is that this server runs very well on linux machines. It, of course, runs on OS X and windows since it is Java, but it is targeting linux server users.
The key difference (which is why I don't use it) is that that software does not have a block firewall.
IE it will block certain blocks from being placed in the world (TNT, Mob Spawners, etc).
See, the reason why I don't use that wrapper or MCAdmin is because both have issues that make it difficult for me to use either.
So, once again, if you'd like to produce a link to a wrapper that does everything stated previously then be my guest. Unfortunately, I think you will have a hard time doing so.
Just added Auto-Backups and Save-all. Need to clean it up a bit and maybe add in some support for compression and then MAYBE we'll have our first RC! : )

I'd really like to try this out. I'll check back for updates.

How does yours block placement if it's a wrapper?
Well if you want to get picky about terminology I guess it's more of a tunnel. I don't see how this furthers the conversation. Are you automatically opposed to innovation? Perhaps you're jealous? I'm not sure what your gripe is, but you're probably better off leaving the thread :smile.gif:

Yeah, originally I was going to do that but I wanted to test the waters first.

Because if the server crashes, there's like a 30 minute rollback or even more.
I'd like to try your wrapper out. =]
Mine doesn't roll back 30mins. When I type save-on, when and if the server crashes or shuts down it saves the map.
Thats definitely a feature I can add in.

Hmm yes I can do something like this as well. This would be easier to implement than automated backups, too.
Edit: to clarify: I would have both as features, but i can probably do this one first.

Well I'm remembering from a couple of weeks ago, it may have changed since then.
That would be perfect. Well really, we have hey0's mod and llama so we have pretty much all the commands I need.
All we really need is the automated save-all and the auto backups in a lightweight wrapper.
Why should I produce it. It's one of the most used wrappers out there, and you could have easily searched for it.
