This mod generates small minefield into your existing world. Minefields generated underground, loaded with loot and goodies. Minefield are well... explosive. one miss swing of your pick or even a stray creeper can set off the whole darn thing destroying all the loot and blowing you and anything your carrying to smithereens. This is a revisit of the initial mod that i build for version 1.4.5.
Right-clicking on a block with a stick will allow you to mark the block. This should prevent accidental deaths from mining a mine.
Installation:
SinglePlayer: download the jar into the mods folder of a Forge configured client or server
MultiPlayer: install Forge into your server jar(Modloader is Not required) download the zip and place it in the mods folder located next to the server jar or create a mod. If one dosen't exist, just create a mods(all lowercase) next to your minecraft jar
feel free to fork and do whatever you want with the source code.
Plans:
-small,medium and large fields
-trophies
-track the time taken to solve a field
-add a better way to implement drops on minefield completion
additional suggestions would be appreciated.
Change Log:
Alpha 0.0.1
-Initial Release of the mod
Alpha 1.0.0
-numbers disappear depending on the number of neighboring blocks that are marked
-basic implementation of minefield size
Just uploaded my mod spotlight for your mod! I REALLY enjoyed playing around with the mod, especially seeing how well Minesweeper works in a 3D grid. I do have a recommendation for a future update though - would it be possible to have the grid spawn on different blocks? So say for example, an entire chunk of diamond (maybe 20 or so diamond ore blocks). Then you could adjust the difficulty accordingly. So the diamond block minesweeper chunk could be suuuuuper difficult, but if you complete it, then you do get loads of diamonds.
