Important Update (4/6/2018): I know it's like a bajillion years later, but I'm resurrecting this mod from the dead. With the demise of Too Much TNT which has been abandoned since 1.8, TNT mods these days just aren't as good as they used to be which is why it's time to bring back The Super TNT mod.
I am porting the Super TNT mod to 1.12.2.
It will have lots of new features, over 30 new TNTs and a LOT less lag. I'm probably halfway done with the whole job as of this writing. Soon, I will have pictures and screenshots to post which will show up here and on the website.
Visit lolyoujellybro.com for more information! I will probably have a download link posted a few weeks from now.
Here is the pre-release trailer for the 1.12.2 version!.
Note: Anything below this line is from the prehistoric 1.7.2 version. It will be replaced with the 1.12.2 stuff in about a week from now, although a download link for a usable version may still be several weeks out.
Super TNT mod
There are already a number of good TNT mods for minecraft. However, none of them (or at least none of the good ones I've heard of) are for 1.7.2. So I have decided to start working on one.If anyone wants to test it, I'll post a beta on here.Below is a bunch of info about the different types of tnt if anyone's interested. Be sure to tell me what you think. Also, if you have an idea for a new type of tnt, be sure to post it!
Here is a quick video of the second biggest tnt exploding. Just to show that it works.
The big tnt:
This is the default big tnt. It makes roughly a 5x bigger explosion than regular. Here is how big of a crater it makes:
The massive tnt:
This TNT is supposed to be ~15 times more powerful than regular. It makes a decently substantial crater as so:Ignore the water. I will make it destroy water like it's supposed to later.
The "uber" tnt
This is currently the second largest tnt in this mod. It makes a ludicrously massively overkill crater beyond all realistic reason. It breaks obsidian. It can even break bedrock if it's within 2-3 blocks of the tnt when it explodes. It requires 1.5GB of system resources to explode and there is lag. If you have a crappy computer, there will be major lag.The explosion leaves behind fire (not pictured) and nuclear waste. As you can see, the hole is very big. However, this isn't even the biggest one in the mod.
The biggest tnt
This tnt is the biggest one in the whole mod. It requires a minimum of 11GB of ram to do the explosion. On complicated maps or sand maps (sand is weaker and the computer is required to render probably a 3X bigger hole), it can take more. The explosion will destroy all blocks in the blast radius. It will destroy obsidian and bedrock. As an added bonus, it glows in the dark. The blast is so astoundingly, craptasticly, just stupidly massive that the crater doesn't even all fit in the draw distance. You can't even see it because it's so big. The crater goes all the way down to, and through the bedrock, as you can see. It leaves behind nuclear waste and fire. Don't even try to protect yourself with a bunker or something. It won't work.I don't even know the best way to take a screenshot of this
Snow TNT
This is snow tnt. It makes a lot of snow, and freezes water. It even works in the nether. So I guess you could say, that's when it snows in hell.Example of the explosion:
Ocean tnt
This spawns a buttload of water. It also spawns squids. Any questions?Example of the explosion:
Sponge tnt
This is used to soak up water. I plan to make it also soak up lava. Not much to see here. Just an empty pond that I used it on.
Mob tnt
This tnt spawns one mob at random. Some mobs (e.g. ghasts, withers) are weighted so that they almost never spawn. The wither spawns in something like once in 1000.Note my expertly drawn mob texture. :likeaboss:This time, a magma cube spawned.
Mob tnt 2
This is similar to the regular mob tnt, except that it spawns a LOT of random mobs.Note: another fine example of my expert drawing skills. And here's all the mobs that got spawned:
House tnt
This one spawns a house.Below are a few pictures of the spawned house.
Diamond tnt
This is a tnt that turns everything into diamond.Example:
Biome Buster (WIP)
This one currently doesn't work properly because I just can't get animations down. But it's supposed to make it rain tnt.
Mud tnt (WIP)
Similar to the diamond tnt, this replaces all the blocks with not diamond, but a brown mud type block. It also makes dead plants. It's still a work in progress but it works well enough to show pictures now. Here is the before picture:Below is the after picture. Note the water and different plants.
Sure. I put up a link.
Make sure that you're using arguments for more ram in the minecraft launcher and have Java 64 bit installed. The second biggest TNT will work with a minimum of 1.5GB (although you should probably put in like 3 if you have it). But the biggest one needs around 16GB. I actually had to make it less powerful because at one point it required 50GB.
Keep in mind that if you're running this on an i3 ultrabook or someting it's going to lag substantially. Even if you have one of those extreme builds with major overclocking there is still some lag.
This is an awesome mod. I can't wait to use the MobTNT2 along with the Minefactory Reloaded grinders. lol So much mobEssence. I will use this when it gets to 1.7.10. Awesome mod, though. Definitely will use this.
I've tried all the tnt's in the mod, they are all so good and I actually tried the tnt which was supposed to crash my game. It crashed my game first but my game was able to handle it and it loaded chunks and there was a really gigantic explosion. It even destroyed the bedrock I can't believe it!
It sounds so freakin awesome. MUST HAVE MUST HAVE MUST HAVE!!!!!!!!!!
