What is totemic?
Totemic is a mod which is based around the creation of Totems, and all other natural, and wooden things
The main feature of Totemic, is Totem poles, these are carved out of Red Cedar wood.
To create the red cedar wood, just create the Cedar Metamorphesiser (temp name, and a temp way to create the cedar) and then just right click on a sapling, and it will create a Red Cedar Sapling.
You then can craft a Totem Whittling Knife.
The whittling knife is what you use to carve out of wood, to change the mode on it, shift and right click on cedar log to carve out a block.
To see what mode it is currently in, just hover over the item in your inventory.
There are 7 Totems, all based off of animals.
Totem poles are built in the following way:
They have the base, the Totem Base, this is carved using the whittling knife, and is the block which does all of the effects.
You can then have 5 Totems above it, and they are also created using the whittling knife on Red Cedar.

These totem poles are powered by the life of nearby plants, meaning that it will drain the growth stages of them. This gives the Totem Poles plant essence, which it can use to do the effects of the Totems.
These are the following Totems and Totem Effects:
Horse: This gives nearby players speed.
Bat: A new effect that takes away fall damage, and gives you the power of gliding by shifting while falling.
Blaze: It gives you fire resistance.
Ocelot: Nearby creepers will not explode.
Squid: Nearby players get water breathing.
Spider: Nearby players can climb walls.
Cow: Nearby players get resistance, and slowness.
Working with your Red Cedar:
Red cedar wood is very versatile, and has many uses. First off, you can carve the bark off of it. To do that, craft a Bark Stripper, and just right click on the log. After a few seconds, it should turn into a Stripped Red Cedar log, and drop some Red Cedar Bark. The bark is a crafting component, and the stripped log can be turned into planks more efficiently than just using the logs, and also made into charcoal.
The Blow Gun:
The Blow Gun is a ranged weapon akin to the bow, but it shoots out blow darts, these blowdarts can be coated with items to give them special effects, like poison, or a antidote effect. Warning, the rendering on the entity a little bit derpy, so it may look out of place in the world.
This is a tool to get information from certain blocks, right clicking on your Totem Base will get you how much Plant Essence it currently has, and clicking on the Poles will tell you the Totem currently in it.
About music and ceremonies:
Ceremonies are a upcoming feature of preforming music, dance and other arts to do a specific effect, comparable to rituals. They have not been finished yet, so there is resentments of them in the mod (Drums, Flutes and other instruments) but its being worked on

Totemic adds, as you would expect totems, the fuel for these totems to do their effects is life essence, which can be extracted from plants using the Totem of Draining.
Totem Structure Intelligence:
This is the main point of the Totem Pole structure, this needs to be at the bottom of the pole with a chlorophyll crystal inside, this does all the effects.
To create this, right click a Totemic Wood block with your Infused Totemic Staff
This block does not have a GUI.

To create this, right click a Totemic Wood block with a totem whittling knife and it will carve out the socket for you.
This block does not have a GUI..
Infused trees are a special type of tree with unique properties allowing you to use them with Totemic intent better.

The fluid is liquid chlorophyll (just place it with a chlorophyll bucket) the flowers are anything which extend BlockFlower and the sapling is any type is sapling.
You must then right click it with a Totemic Staff (Infused or normal) and then it has a chance to either just use up the chlorophyll or to turn the sapling into a Infused Sapling.
The tree leaves have a VERY rare chance to drop saplings, but don't ever count on it
And also the leaves drop a 'Infused Leaf' which is a crafting component for the Totemic Staff
The basic staff is created by using Vannila leaves and Sticks, this is the staff that you will be using for certain events, such as above (the infused tree)
The totemic staff can also be used to show how much durability there is in a Totem Intelligence, just right click on it with the staff, (The first tier staff may be off a bit )
Since you are using wood which is not made for these things, you may notice a small pinch when you use it.
Infused Totemic Staff
A advanced staff used by combining the wood from the Infused Tree and the leaves from it.
This is very accurate with measuring chlorophyll from totems, has a higher chance to correct to the Infused Sapling creation and also won't hurt you.
Chlorophyll Bottle and Bucket
These hold chlorophyll, they are created in a crafting table, look at NEI for the recipe
This is the battery for holding plant essence, totems will drain the plant essence from this to do their effects. This is created in the chlorophyll solidifier (as mentioned under)
This is charged by being in the slot of a Totem Intelligence when there is a Draining totem in one of the sockets and there are plants to drain essence of on the same Y axis as the totem intelligence
Blazing Chlorophyll Crystal:
This is charged like normal chlorophyll crystals.
Placing this in a furnace slot allows you to burn it and it will take durability damage.
This is your way to infuse things with the power of chlorophyll, just right click with a bucket or bottle of chlorophyll and it will fill up.
It will then use the chlorophyll in recipes, these are a few of them:
16 Buckets of Chlorophyll + a Diamond = a Chlorophyll Crystal
4 Buckets Cobble or Stone brick = their mossy counterpart
This block does not have a GUI.
(Due to this block being... buggy, i have added a config option for the crystal.)
These are the effects you can get with the Totem Structure:
Ocelot: This will stop all nearby creepers from exploding - Implemented
Horse: This gives you a speed boost: Implemented
Hopper: Will move all nearby items into the block under the totem intelligence
Blaze: This will give nearby players fire resistance: Implemented
Cactus: Damages nearby entities: Implemented
Bat: Gives nearby players flight: Currently not implemented.
Sun: This will stop rain: Implemented
Food: This feeds you: implemented
Love: This makes all nearby animals breed, since it will make them breed no matter what and reset the counter, you will need to do some fancy redstone control
Draining: This will drain the life of all plants on the same Y axis as the Totem Intelligence and fills up a chlorophyll crystal
Range: This will make all totem effects have more range.
Every Totem by default has 10 range horizontally and vertically (apart from the Draining, which has 8).
To increase this, you can use range totems, which will increase it by 5 (unless its the Draining Totem, which its 3)
How to create a totem pole:
Totem poles are relatively simple, you merely place a 'Totem Structure Intelligence' on the floor, you need to then place a number of 'Totem Sockets' from 1 - 5 directly above the 'Totem Structure Intelligence'.
What you then need to do is put some totems into these (the ones in the paragraph above), the totem intelligence will then do the desired effects and drain life essence from a chlorophyll crystal inside the Totem Intelligence.
This functions like a normal totem intelligence, but instead it uses mana from Botania
It cant use the draining totem.

Hopper totem now moves all entity items nearby into the block under the totem intelligence.
The Hopper totem is now functioning, it will fill up a inventory under the totem intelligence with items around the totem.
Redone some of the totem intelligence code, it will no longer check 5 blocks per tick to see if it needs to do certain things... its not perfect (tick wise) but its a lot better, your servers wont die anymore!
Giving the inventory of the Chlorophyll Solidifier no longer happens on the client side, causing a bug.
Corrected a issue of crafting recipes.

'Redundant' or non working things are commented out, this is so the mod can get proper testing.
Added localizations and textures for everything.
