Liquid sorting doesn't seem to be working. I've double-clicked the liquid into the item filter (so it shows up as liquid in the filter and not the item). The filter lists the item used when I mouse over it. The filter does not work when placed into the appropriate color of a filter pipe.
Thanks - Fixed.
I seem to have run into a slightly different version of this bug, but with Retrieval Node (Liquid). I have a series of pipes pulling from Forestry squeezers. Sometimes I'm pulling honey, sometimes seed oil, sometimes fuel, but the Retrieval node is always pulling the first liquid it comes to, regardless of the filter installed. And yes, I've double clicked a liquid item into the filter so that the forge liquid shows up instead of a container. Are liquid filters supposed to work with retrieval nodes or am I doing something wrong? I'm currently using 1.0.3a in the FTB DW20 pack.
I would like to report a possible problem with Magnum Torches.
I am running Direwolf20 1.6.4 with extrautils-1.0.3a included.
After placing 5 (four in direct vicinity of eachother and one about 2000 blocks away at first everything seemed to workd as intended. Large area around the torches did not get mobspawns except from spawners. After a few days (day and night cycles ingame) however it seems no mobs (or at least hostile ones) will spawn at all in the overworld. No matter how far I looked (thousands of blocks away from all Magnum Torches, no skellies, zombies, spiders, endermen etc were to be found. In other (mystcraft) worlds there are normal mobspawns. In overworld, not a single mob. For days now. And while nice and quiet, not the way it should be I guess?
You might have hit the mob limit, do you have any chunks loaded that could have excessive amounts of mobs? Keep in mind any zombies that pick items up won't despawn when they normally would and that non-hostile mobs count too.
Can't think of anywhere that might have lots of mobs. In fact, only spawners that kill the 3 spawns immediately. Wondering about the villagers though. I have a self-built village with about 25 villagers in it. Do they count as mobs?
If you're on DW20, then you should have opis. Try a /opis_nent to see how many of each entity are in the game. My cursed-earth spawner sometimes ends up jammed full of hecates, but a /opis_killall Hecate will clear them out. Wisps can often cause those sorts of issues too.

Looks like the mob types are counted separately sorry about that, if you want to read up on mob spawning here's a link.
Phil!
Thanks for that hint!
opis_nent showed 78 hecate. Shame it doesn't show where though.
After killing them all mobs spawned regularly again.
Funny thing is though.. never did anything with cursed earth and yet large amounts of hecate keep spawning somewhere for some reason. But hey, at least now I know what to do. Never knew about opis. Thanks for the lesson!
I'm glad it helped. I think something weird happened with their AI in the most recent patch, so I often find them floating around doing nothing in tunnels and such, even without the cursed earth.
Good job with the Deep Dark! Smooth portal making LITERALLY 12 blocks of stone, replacing everything, in all directions, including down. That completely s over the dimension. Plus...Umm you could fix up the 120 block void between up and down.
This may have already been posted, I'm sure others have encountered this bug since last update but here it is:
Bug report concerning pipes and nodes from the Extra Utilites Mod;
Whenever sneak right clicking to attack a pipe directly to a node, the game will crash. It is not client side, as the logs show server activity. It doesn't give a client error, it just causes a complete client shut down. Also occurs in single playermode. When in single player, it briefly states that it is shutting down internal server before closing the entire client. This has been tested from different people, first encountered on a private server with two people, both from different states. The bug happened for both people.
I tried attaching the pipe from any angle; side, above, below, with same results. Every pipe seems to cause this error, while not all nodes seemed to cause it. Transfer Node (items), Retrieval Node (items) both cause this bug, but the liquid counterparts do not. The block that the node is placed on seems to have no effect, as we've tried it on machines and normal blocks, vanilla and otherwise. The direction the node is facing also has no noticed effect. Also noted is that we were in bat morph when first testing, but have concluded that also happens while not in morph.
FTB is deigned to close when it crashes due to an error. I've noticed that quite a bit myself when I do actually crash. So that's just part of the modpack behavior.

I was trying to use Applied Energistics to send energy (Redstone Flux) to a machine (Magma Crucible). Applied Energistics doesn't support Redstone Flux yet, so I was using the energy transfer node from Extra Utilities to convert from MJ to RF. Whenever I connect the energy transfer node to the P2P Energy Tunnel from Applied Energistics, it reports a large negative amount of RF stored; around -3,000 to -5,000. This drains my system of power pretty quickly. This is without anything connected to the energy transfer node (expect the P2P Energy Tunnel). Has anyone seen this?
Using 1.0.16 of the DW20 pack on Soaryn's server, making an industrial level love based power plant. Found a bug in which Pink generators don't accept ProjRed stained Pink saplings. Are you intentionally not using or dictionary or is it a real bug?
I'm trying to use Minetweaker to change the recipe for the golden bag of holding, to make it harder, the problem is that there are essentially 2 recipes for the same ID; the normal bag and the enchanted bag.
Are you using RF without TE installed? If no, why don't you just use a TE conduit? EU energy transfer nodes are lossy.
I'm hooking up to a Magma Crucible from TE. From what I've seen and read, TE conduits cannot convert the MJ from the P2P Tunnel into RF, but the Extra Utilities Energy Transfer Node can. So that's what I was trying, when I stumbled onto this issue.
I think he does mean Extra Utilities Transfer Node.
Also, TE'c conduits do not accept MJ input. Why hot try Ender IO's energy conduits, which can accept MJ or RF? So you'd P2P the MJ into an Ender IO energy conduit that hooks up to the Magma Crucible.

i am tracking down what mod makes extra utils crash with that "net/minecraft/client/renderer/texture/IconRegister" and "at extrautils.tileentity.enderquarry.BlockBreakingRegistry.hasSpecialBreaking(BlockBreakingRegistry.java:115)"
I am at 9 suspects now, i will soon know what mod is the couse.
EDIT: i have 5 suspects now, MFFS, liquid XP, JABBA, connected glass and chisel. will see whitch one it is now.
EDIT: the mod that made it crash was connected glass from immibis.

I think you are completely in the dark (pun intended) about what the mod is supposed to be, you are not transforming the over-world, but being transported to an entirely different dimension, to get back you just have to go thru the same portal-block you arrived by... that "void" you talk about is SUPPOSED to be there, otherwise the castle/fortress thing wouldn't be able to be found, nor will the Pit of Despair be a viable thing either... and (preemptively stopping a whine) but, don't go on about how you get hurt by invisible "somethings" in the deep-dark either... that's SUPPOSED to happen... I'm not sure what the mod author calls them/the effect... but i know that Direwolf20 calls them the Vashta-Neradi (from Dr. Who) as you can't see them and they can/do kill you in the darkness.
Would it be possible to make it so the drums capacity can be read using comparators? Also allowing them to be moved with pistons and openblocks or mfr conveyor belts?
I had this idea to make a filling factory with the drums being moved around on conveyors, but that came to a halt when I relalized drums couldn't be manipulated much, short of breaking them and moving them with pipes, which wouldn't look nearly as cool.
The 1.0.3b update has a bug with the golden bag of holding it seems. Inventory tweaks keeps spamming chat with "2014-03-17 10:35:54 [CLIENT] [INFO] [CHAT] InvTweaks: [ERROR] [6] Failed to trigger shortcut: toIndex = 90" when I go to shift-click items out of the bag.
Also whenever I shift click the bag randomly behaves oddly and sometimes visually vanishes from my hotbar. It also randomly crashes with this...

Pusas,
What version of Forge MicroBlocks do you have installed? We made a modpack with 1.0.244, and it would crash when I tried to attach a transfer pipe to a node. Upgrading to 1.0.250 fixed this.
Also, there is something in the changelog for 1.0.3b that might help with forge, too.
There's no need, he knows the issue, but has (no?) time to fix it
You might have hit the mob limit, do you have any chunks loaded that could have excessive amounts of mobs? Keep in mind any zombies that pick items up won't despawn when they normally would and that non-hostile mobs count too.

Also posting this on the ftb support forums, but wanted to post here as well to see if this is happening to others as well.
