Overhauled the spawn/upgrade interface. What do you think?
I think that works out really well. Now we can see how much of an upgrade each rank gives from the time we purchase militia to the higher trained soldiers! Keep up the amazing work nerd-boy!

The panels will stick to the sides of your screen if you make the screen wider and disapear if they do not have enough space to render. I am actually quite happy with them.
Are you going to be adding texture packs like you did in your previous mod?
Looks amazing! Can't wait till it's official and not alpha!!
In the sence that others will be able to texture them yes, but I will not be making textures myself. I am a modder not a texturer and really do not have the skill required to pull it off.
As for waiting until it's not alpha, It is actually quite stable now, if you were interested. I will be leaving it in "alpha" stage only because I am still make lots of changes.

it all looks good to me, though the special abilities just floating there for now seems a bit odd, perhaps just make it appear, with an empty line between, right below the stats
did you see my comment about sending smith to MF?
I have change the description now, but that was just there to double check my string splitting with shadows was working.
As for the special abilities, it is there for a reason, when I add ranged units there will be 2 extra stats for them (range and rate of fire). I may just leave these stats in for the melee units also though.
As for the MF/Anvil thing, I have no problem if he wants the recipe decompiling/item repair code. I will likely update it when I can be bothered, just focusing on this now (it is kinda exciting me)
Just thought I would make a quick rund down of what I want for alpha 3.
New Features
The selection box around units will now be the same colour as the units team
Added side panels to the spawn interface showing a description and stats for the current unit selected in the spawn unit interface
Added the upgrade command for Militia who have gained enough experience
This command will only be shown when a single unit is selected that has enough experience to upgrade (The experience level is waived in creative mode)
The Militia will be able to be upgraded to either a Man at Arms or a Spearman.
Bugs Fixed (There may be more that I find)
Fixed Rendering issue where unit's hair and eyes would ocasionally flicker
Order menu will hide again if you de-select the only selected soldier
I would also like the assistance of someone who is fluent in both English and another language. I do have built in language support that I would like to double check works. I don't want to be bombarded with offers right now, I just need 1 as a test. Because the mod is no where near finished I don't know all the things I will need translated which is why I am asking for a single person to translate for the moment.

What right do you have to tell me what mod I should work on? Did I ever charge to for a mod? No. Does me not continuing Battlegear mean that you can no longer play minecraft? No. Doe my working on this mod, which you may have no intrest in somehow diminish your gameplay? No. So you have zero right to make any demands of me.
I have CLEARLY stated why I am no longer continuing Battlegear. In case you missed it, go back to the thread and read the long post under the giant bold red underlined "Attention". That still does not give you the right to come here and start making demands.
The fact is, I con't need to take this crap. The rules on the forum also clearly state that you are not allowed to ask mods to update (which you are essentially doing). Any further behavior like this from you or anyone will result in a report.
Battlegear is discontinued, either downgrade to play it or get over it.
I've updated to 1.4.2 just to try out this alpha and I must say that this looks like it will be a great mod. I've always been a fan of strategy games and this looks like it could allow a server to play something like a real time strategy game. Can't wait to see more of it.
However, I do have a question. I've skimmed the last few pages of the post and tried a few searches but haven't found anything about this, so I'll just go ahead and ask. Do you plan on adding an offensive magic unit with more of an arcane flavor, such as a wizard? I've noticed that you have listed some magic units like the druid and priest on the original post, but I wasn't sure if they were just added for the necessity of having a healing unit or if you wanted to branch toward having an even balance between mundane and magic units.

Yeah that's a problem. Looks like Jade is right, the issue is Optifine's random mobs. Funny thing is I can only replicate it with the red team, no others. For the moment I will add it to an incompatabilities, I might have to talk to the creator.

Personally I like this better than Battlegear. Battlegear seemed like Balkon's weapon mod, except for the fact that it had the shield and sheath features. This adds some useful life in minecraft. Keep up the good work nerd boy!!

Right now, rendering an image for a new banner/logo. How did I do?
I've never been a fan of the bendy-people logo styles. LEGO does that too sometimes, and it bugs me a bit. I dunno how it'd be done differently, though. I'll think about it.

So, given that you're adding Spearmen as a separate class, will you be removing the spears as a Militia weapon?

I know they might not even be mounted.
You could do stone to iron, like with the swords, although that'd be a less obvious change since the spearhead's so small.
