I just realized how fantastic would customization be if there will be a "compatibility" patch for this mod
It would probably be easier if the author of the other mod added in reading maps as a feature. The method is actually pretty simple. I'm surprised no one thought of it before.
You may use it now - set BiomeMode:Default :smile.gif:
Who are you talking to?
If you might refer to me, then I have to say that you didn't get what I was saying: the "suggestion" involves controlling custom biomes generation, not just default ones..

I'm not that much foolish, not yet
Hmm sorry was too sleepy when answering.
Yes i was answering you.
So first - you may use this mod with TC - using "BiomeMode:Default" in TC config
Second - this mod - good idea and may be added easy, but i am some busy in real life now and cant add this until next week :sad.gif:
Khoorn, when you have some time (RL is so much more important than this silly game :wink.gif: ) could you check on higher than 128 height compatibility? I recently started looking at this mod and have found that while the increased height values do show up in all of TC's config files it is not generating higher terrain. Perhaps the algorithm isn't getting the new height limit? I used Mysource's settings and seed to insure a good map and the land seems to be generating up to 128'ish which puts everything underwater.
I am having a little trouble with this. I customized this as I wanted it, but it generated a completely normal world.
I want:
- extreme volatility
- no overhangs
- very rare and small caves
- only ONE biome (extreme hills)
- lowest elevation is 5, highest elevation is 120
- no lava
- water generates no higher than 5
Someone please make a world config file for me based off that.
Have you set ModeTerrain to normal, or it's in default?
Otherwise, the only reason to generate a normal world is messing up with too high or too low values..
You didn't set volatility higher than 10, did you?
Thank you so much for bringing such a great mod back! I tried the SSP version and it works great! I entered in some of my old configs and got an awesome world. :smile.gif:
I don't know if it's been addressed before, but there are literally no passive mobs in my world... Also, when I spawned, it was way underground and I had to tunnel out by hand after nearly suffocating. Other than that, the mod is just as awesome as it was before!
One more thing, is there a thread for sharing config files yet? Thanks!
Edit: Also, I can't get any custom objects to spawn. :sad.gif: I could never figure this back in the PTM days, but I really can't figure out what I'm doing wrong... Hope someone can help.
I created a world of perfect Appalachian-style mountains! I will make it a server eventually, as soon as I can get the Bukkit plugin version of this mod working!
I have included a download link if you would like to take a look at my awesome mountain configuration! Download

Please excuse my username, I made it back when I was an awkward Anime dork. I am not anymore, thank you.
Do you know when this will be updated to 1.2? I was going to get it, but when i started up minecraft it had the new update :P. Also, it's great that you picked this mod up, it was one of my favorites back in when it was PTM, so thanks for that.
1. How long, do you estimate, it will take to update this to 1.2?
2. When I create a world with Terrain Control that is entirely an Extreme Hills biome, when I play this world in Vanilla Minecraft, the biomes get really screwed up. How can I prevent this from happening?

Please update this mod. It's amazing! Especially as it can be used for servers aswell as single player. I hope this gets more popular than the phoenix terrain mod, because it's so much better.
to you! (:
I'm sure it will be updated soon, it is just taking forever because of the new biome.

If you're having troubles installing the mod, you should post crash reports or give more details; it's the only way you can be helped properly.
