Just A little mod request here. Probably would be pretty easy to code.
A mod that makes it so farm-able plants spawn in the wild, and they grow themselves naturally, AND they spread naturally!
Farm animals, (cows, chickens, sheep, pigs, horses, modded variations of such, ECT.) would also seek out these plants, and eat them. After eating enough, these animals will enter breeding mode, and reproduce. The farms animals have a hunger system. You must feed them for them to survive in captivity. (They can seek their own food in the wild.) To make sure animals can't entirely force a kind of plant into extinction, plants growing wild grow twice as fast, take longer to harvest, (The animals break blocks,) and animals have a 20 second cool down between breaking a plant block.
Like this idea? Just a little thing I came up with. Any mods that already do something similar? Tell me about it!

A suggestion would be that plants grow the same speed, but animals turn the plants back into the just-planted state.
That's a thought. That would make is a little less OP. I hate over powered things.

The mod I linked above has natural spreading. It is possible to add AI to mobs through events, so you might not have to actually override the the mob iteself.

Not a bad idea but it definitely wouldn't just be "Easy" to code.
