Forge has been pissing me off as of late, all these updates they make, getting rid of modloader dependency, then that stupid mods button they added on the menu screen, their messed up modloader txt file, (Which hardly works...), and over all, forge has just overcomplicated everything.
Is there like... some version of forge, that does not interfere with modloader and modloadermp?
Nope. And you should be happy, Forge has made a lot of things easier for us modders. I'll explain why some of these changes were made
1) ModLoaderMP: ModLoaderMP does not use the official mod packet as created by Mojang. It also uses a very clunky interface between server and client, which clutters things up and makes multiplayer modding more difficult and processor intenive. Also, SDK is pretty damn lazy, he takes his time updating ModLoaderMP, and by doing so, he caused Forge to have a long update cycle
2) ModLoader: Risugami would not allow people to include ModLoader in mod packs. LexManos, maintainer of Forge, wanted it to be able to be in mod packs. Therefore, Lex initiated the takeover. If Risu had just been willing to give in, this wouldn't have happened. I agree, its pretty messy right now, but just wait, soon there will no longer be problems.
And the answer to your question is, no, there isn't
Pretty sure Forge doesn't messup modloader mods, but hey, what do I know.
-EDIT-
I don't even know what you're complaining about. Oh yes, the one button they added to provide more information makes it very complicated. Along with them releasing updates and removing a dependency, of course.
