well me and my friend recently got tekkit and are slightly avid in it. but we need ideas to keep things interesting. so I ask: any idea of what too build/create/do in tekkit? by that I don't mean "go to space" or "make diamond blocks". I mean: "make an ultimate automated sheep powered coffee macine" or "an instand reloading spleef arena". something elaborate and new. thanks for the feedback!
To what projects you should work on, I'll run you through my personal playstyle. First I try to pick some concept I haven't really played with before, like that cool liquid glowstone from Thermal Expansion. I go into a test world and just mess around with it, trying to find some cool ways to use it, like cool ceilings or water for an upside down city. I then get an idea in my head for a cool structure/build. Then I spend a few days laying out the basic shape and structure for it. Once the basic structure is laid out, I make sure it is actually functional. In this case, I had to play around with controlling the upside down waterflow of glowstone. Once I got that figured out, I could go in and add the details. Once I was finished, I had a glowing city that reminded me of the western air temple from Avatar.
I like to have a bunch of small projects going as well, because if I don't really feel like working on the big project today, I can still log on and mess around with the little ones.
In summary, try to find some cool item by messing around in a creative test world, and see if you can think of a cool build you could use it in. If you have an idea that you can't necessarily accomplish with the mods included in default Tekkit, feel free to stop on by the forums. We'd be more than happy to walk you through adding in the extra mods.
sorry if this is the wrong thread.
Delete it and download FTB instead.

I have removed the parts of your post that have nothing to do with the thread.
PS. The OP already said he isn't going to use FTB, why the hell are you recommending it?
I was in the middle of making a fully automated weapon production system.
