So, everyone knows about Mojang trying to close the gap between SSP, and SMP.
(If you don't, please let me know the address of the rock you live under. )
But anyways, I was thinking that would it be at all possible to make plugins compatible on Single Player?
I think that Mojang might make it close enough code wise to have plugins useable on Single Player.
I realize that many people don't see that a lot of things you are able to do with plugins on SMP is not available on Single Player. For example, the plugin that allows for rollbacks on a server would be very handy on Single Player. I do know that WorldEdit can also do that, but it is much smoother on SMP. Also, WorldGaurd would be a VERY handy plugin in Single Player, for many reasons.
So, what do you guys think? Will the gap between SSP and SMP become small enough to allow for cross-plugin use?
I just thought of something. Maybe, in addition, mods will have much more compatibility with servers?
