Just played through it. I noticed that up on the hill outside Brighton there is Smeagot's Well and Smeaton's House, I'm assuming it's supposed to be the same name. Also the town walls couldn't keep the monsters out. They used the high ground around to just jump over the fences. Last, the road seemed too claustrophobic. It should probably be 2 or 3 blocks wide, and shouldn't twist around so much. Other than that, keep up the good work and I'll keep an eye on this.
I'll be sure to take the cliffs around Brighton down, and I'll fix the signs, and I'll see about changing the road to probably 3 blocks wide
-Add Redstone for watches and compass
-When heading to the right road there is a gap under the road with sand covering it.... this was distracting :tongue.gif:
-On my way to Light Castle I saw some open natural cave systems with torches that you lit... also distracting and an easy way to get torches
-In the arena move the chests to the opposite side for more difficulty
-Roads less windy
-Add a flint and steel in a chest in the Nether (i went in and the portal was destroyed giving me no way to get out)
-More signs giving more of an adventure feel
-Make the Zombie spawner basement bigger to allow more mobs to spawn
Had a fun time playing as this was my first custom map game :biggrin.gif:

Redstone - I plan on putting those in the further towns and cities
Cave Systems - Old Settlement type-things. They're supposed to be there
Chests - Good idea, I'll do it :smile.gif:
Roads - I'm on that now, they'll be 3 blocks wide now
Flint and Steel - Another good one, you got it
Signs - A third good idea :smile.gif: There will actually be more signs on the 5 main quests
Basement - That's actually supposed to be the first quest, so I'm sure 1 or 2 is fine.
UPDATES: 1. I fixed the Smeatons Hut, Smeagots Well mistake.
2. I'm making the roads 3 blocks wide.
3. I've thought of a quest that can be found in Darkwood. I'll add it soon.
4. I've added a Flint and Steel Chest by the Nether portal.
5. I'm thinking of adding the skin in sooner than final release.
6. I've found a nice flat insanely far away from the prison. It's around 300 blocks away, and I'm thinking of putting Amber City there.
7. I put a sign by the Light Castle sign saying, "*I shouldn't go there until I'm decently prepared*"
8. I took the cliffs around Brighton down, so that hostile mobs can't get in anymore.
Question for people out there: Should I put up a new download every time I finish a big addition? Or just leave it until the final release?
I would kinda like to see a definite order of places you are supposed to go in instead of leaving it open ended. Like start the quest with a sign saying that you have to go to X place for such and such a reason, and once you fulfill whatever task, another sign informs you to do "whatever."

I see what you mean, I'll definitely consider that, kind of like a definite storyline, right? But I have a question for you, have you ever played Fable 2? With the freeroam ability?
Yeah, it's fine the way you have it - I'm just an order type of guy =P But if you prefer it this way, it's cool.
Or maybe I could find a way to include both, like, a good conscience and a bad one, the bad goes against the little *thought* signs, and the good does what they say. How does that sound?
i actually kinda liked how you didnt have to go to one specific place at first and how there are a couple of choices of where you can go. but you probably should make shore that it doesnt matter which places you choose to go first because you should probably always end in the same place no matter what places you went to first and you cant go to the end place untill you have been everywhere else. I think it would be kinda cool if you put like a special item in each village that you need later to get in to the last place so even if you go there early by mistake you cant get in like you could use the flint and steel to burn down a layer of wool and a dimond pick you find to get past some obsidian or something and use all the special items untill you can get inside.
I also like patricks idea, with the layers of things you need to break down. It sounds cool. I should implement that. And, say, if you want to choose the Good Conscience, you get kind of "good" items from the 5 mains, and if you choose the Evil Conscience, you get "evil" items, you know?
If you look in the humans plus mods thread you see a pretty good start for a place-able npc mod, hope this helps you in the future!
Edit: Great, I just checked it and he removed it!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I like pie. The answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything Else, is 42. That's a very nice Flying Ssssspaghetti Monssssster monument you have there, it would be a ssssshame if sssssomthing were to happen to it. Sssss . . ..
UPDATE (VERY IMPORTANT): v1.2 is going to come out sometime today. Checklist:
1. Widen Roads: Done
2. More *thought* signs: Done
3. Add a flint and steel chest to the Nether: Done
4. Nether Quest: Done
5. Remove that damned fence thing next to Smeatons hut: Done
I'll add my next checklist with the update, so keep your eyes open :biggrin.gif: and I'll update when I've got my checklist up top complete :smile.gif:
I see you've fixed what I was about to tell you about! I'm glad you're widening the roads, it feels really claustrophobic.
Could I suggest making some of the houses in Brighton bigger? Namely--the hall. It doesn't really feel hall-like.
Maybe you could make it bigger, add a mess hall, a few tables, stuff like that. Just a few complaints, but hey, it's a work in progress, right? ;D

Well Brighton is just a village, so it probably won't get much bigger than this. I mean, the thing about it is the villagers catch their own food, and cook it themselves, so there's no need for a mess hall, and the Hall, I could probably extend it, the best I could do is widen the surface up a little bit and make the real Town Hall underground maybe, if you think that would be cool :smile.gif:

While it really disappoints me to hear it's gone, I'd like to know your real opinion on the map, I hope you like it!
