[UPDATE]
Cloth blocks, obsidian, bookcase, and mossy cobblestone block updated.
I've been thinking of making a Super Mario Brothers mod for a while now. I finally decided to make it, and it turned out a lot better than I had expected. And no, I didn't just copy and paste from an image of sprites. I did that for some, but had to custom skin the majority of them. The plants are the same, though.
Here's an image of all of the blocks:
In order from right to left on the image, here are the blocks:
Stone
Cobblestone
Brick
Dirt (Grass is obvious. It's in the background.)
Wood
Log
Leaves
Glass
Half-Block
'Mossy Cobblestone'
Sand
Gravel
Sponge
Red Cloth
Orange Cloth
Yellow Cloth
Light Green Cloth
Green Cloth
Other Green Cloth
Light Blue Cloth
Lighter Blue Cloth
Blue Cloth
Dark Purple Cloth
Purple Cloth
Pink Cloth
Black Cloth
Grey Cloth
White Cloth
Coal Ore
Iron Ore
Gold Ore
Iron
Gold
Bedrock and Bookcase Block
TNT
Obsidian
Plants:
Red Flower- Red Coin in first terrain.png. Fireflower in second terrain.png.
Yellow Flower- Yellow Coin
Brown Mushroom- 1up Mushroom
Poinsonous Mushroom- Red Mushroom (kind of goes against the Super Mario Bros. game, but it matched the color, so as to make it easier to figure out between the two mushrooms.)
Very cool! Did you make the roses into fireflowers? It seems only logical XD
He didn't, look in the background that the regular red roses are still there. Albeit, this can just be a minor tweak that can be done manually by anyone. I love it very much, and I approve of it highly.
I was actually going to do that before I read this post. I was going to make the red flowers the red coins, but since whoever said they should be the fireflowers, I'll release two versions; one with the red coin and one with the fireflower.
E: Here's the two terrain.png's. First has Red Coin, Yellow Coin, Red Mushroom, and 1up Mushroom. The seconds has Fireflower, Yellow Coin, Red Mushroom, and 1up Mushroom. Tree sapling is a vine.

Updated. I didn't like how the cloth blocks looked, so I changed them. Bookcase block is also different, but because the bookcase block used the texture of the wood block for the top and bottom of it, it has the wood texture on it : (
That's actually not a bad idea. I just wanted to keep it in the red and 1up mushroom area as those were the ones I remember most from my first time playing Super Mario Bros., which was back on the SNES. I'll, again, have two terrain.png's. One with the red and 1up mushroom and one with the poisonous and red mushroom. Once I can get on my computer, that is. Which should be about 3:30-4:00PM EST.

This hasn't been updated for over a year. It is not Beta compatible. So... there's no use even getting it.
Hell, the OP hasn't even been on the forum for a month.

You'll be surprised by how few people actually put a bathroom in their house. Where else would you ****? Where else?
The "Mod" Part is a bit misleading, change it to Texture pack.
I don't know if you are actually serious or trolling.
This was way back on Dec 2009. The post above you resurrected this, but looks like not even you bother to look at the dates..

There's no special GUI or mob skins or anything, I made this purely for Creative Mode. Here's the terrain.png:
