IIRC Techne can import json and turn it into minecraft java models, don't know about the other way around though. Other than that, I don't think there is such a tool, because the .class format is unique to Minecraft's model API
I do't think this is even possible because on one hand there are static storage formats like json or .obj but .class files contain runnable bytecode that could change what it's doing whenever the programmer feels like it but static formats are not able to do anything like that, thats why I think it's impossible to fully take all the information contained inside a class to turn them into models.
it is possible, with necessary libraries. It's just, nobody ever made such a tool.
Hi,
3D models seem to be in the .class format.
Is there a way to convert them to json/obj/pretty much any format except class.
so they can re-purposed for resource packs?

That'd be no help as you'd just get back Java source code, when (I assume) the OP is asking for the models for the new 1.8 model format.
