I've wanted to learn how to program for a while know, and recently i've gotten the strength to go and research how, I figured that it would be easier to make a mod rather then a game because I would be building of an Idea of someone else, so I thought what would be the best and easiest game to make a mod of? And I figured minecraft because the Community is so awesome.
So basically I just want to know what is the best Java IDE to make minecraft mods, and any Pointers would be nice!
Once I was having the "public does not override abstract blahblahblah" and then it made a function throwing an exception. Made me realize the class I was extending needed that function that NetBeans showed.
He's a real pallie. :smile.gif: Besides he shows the functions and the type of functions when scrolling through class methods.
Notepad++ is a useful tool for seeing what you cando/editing data as well as making classes however for an actual IDE I prefer NetBeans as feels much more simple to me and it allows the user to grow into. At the end of the day it comes down to your preference of the look and feel of the IDEs,
