I'd love to help with development. I don't have much experience with Java but I do have a degree in Computer Science so I should be able to figure it out.
I've been using the 1.11 version of KAGIC on Minecraft 1.11.2 for the past two months, so I think you're fine on that front.
I've been setting up a new computer and redrawing plans for KAGIC's future. I don't see anything else to update unless I encounter any bugs, I plan on adding a couple Minecraft-themed Gems, but I would like to stay away from that in fear that the show might release content that contradicts the mod.
So in short, I don't know.

Speaking of bugs, I found a couple kindergarten bugs and a visual one:
1. Gems do not make an exit hole. When they hatch they make a hole big enough to fit them, but they do not connect that hole to the outside world, even though the wall between them and air was just one block wide. EDIT: this doesn't always happen. It consistently happened when the hole would have faced west but I just got a pearl from a hole facing east that successfully made its own exit.
2. The internal hole that they do make is 1 block too tall. A two-high gem such as a ruby or peridot makes a three-block-high-hole, and a three-high gem such as a jasper makes a four-block-high-hole.
3. Rubies hold swords with the middle of their arm instead of the end.

1. Gem exit holes have a direction order that revolves from east, west, north, then south. They choose the direction by finding the closest block that can see the sky. In ravines, this often causes it to choose the long way out, because it is a shorter distance to reach light compared to air.
2. Looking at fixing this along with the previous issue as efficiently and effectively as possible.
3. Working on it right now.

Gem placement and visors are chosen at random, so yes, the designs change, but Gems are assigned a design when they first spawn and don't change that design (the only exception are Pearls and Agates, but they only change if you right click them with dye or sheers.)
I've noticed that the Doc clothes are a lot more common than the rest however, and I believe the randomness is linked to your world seed as well.

the rubies may have their clothes that the crystal gem ruby and the other two were wearing in the episode THE ANSWER .would have three squares or the gemstone of a ruby on its back (because it is a fusion of three rubies ,the same case if it is more or less) without corresponding to the gem when it is not fused . these squares would represent the amount of rubies in the fusion ( maximun 5 or 6 ) and would have only one model for each level.l also have another idea . thanks for reading
That crash has been fixed, thank you very much.

It is related to Steven Universe, but it isn't a Steven Universe mod, it kind of takes the science of the show and puts it into Minecraft.
so when is the next update

the gems die (poofed) drowns ?.because one day l would like to use them in galaxcraft or warp drive mod
If you're asking if they drown, no, they don't. They don't swim either however, they just sink to the bottom.
sorry for the accent. lm from brazil. l use the translator
will you use my idea of fusion ?
I'll likely use your idea in combination with other ideas I've had for fusion once I get around to adding it.
good.l like you mod is one of the best
