KAGIC is a mod that adds machines to your Minecraft world that let you harvest your own servants and soldiers from the ores in the ground.
The Gems:
KAGIC lets you create up to nine different kinds of servants, called "gems", each variation of gem can do different things for you. Here is a list of gems and their purposes:
The Ruby is a very common and versatile gem that will follow and defend you from hostile mobs and anything with the intent to hurt you. The more they are hit, the stronger they get, and they have innate fire powers.
The Quartz is a beefed up version of the Ruby that are nearly invincible. They come in three different species, Amethysts, which have lightning powers, Jaspers, which are invincible when touching the ground, Carnelians, which are just a blast, and Rose Quartzes, which heal nearby players and gems.
The Peridot is a useful gem that helps manage Kindergartens (where you create your gems) by automatically taming gems for you and telling you where you can make the best gems. When equipped with a hoe, Peridots will harvest and replant nearby crops. They are a little derpy though, if you don't mind.
The Pearl is a multicolored gem that carries a chest inside of it. With a Pearl, you can have multiple inventories that follow you and pick up nearby items.
The Lapis is a flying gem that you can ride.
The Sapphire is a very fast gem that you can ride over water, lava, and land.
The Bismuth is a tall powerful gem that automatically cooks the items you right click it with.
The Agate is a commanding, multicolored gem that ensures your gems are in line and on post and keeping all nearby mobs on edge.
The Topaz is a powerful warrior gem that will have much in store for it in the coming updates.
The Aquamarine is a flighty fairy gem that follows you and makes mockery of your enemies.
The Rutile is a bright gem that leaves trails of light to guide you on your travels.
The Zircon is a lawyer. I rest my case.
The Slag is a hostile reject gem that your Peridots will make short work of the moment they see it.
The Items and Blocks:
This mod adds seven crafting recipes for the following items:
The Gem Staff allows you to control your gems. To tame a gem, you can right click it with your Gem Staff and it will serve you. If you want your gems to move to a specific location, you can right click on a block and all of your gems will stop what they are doing and go to that specific block.
The Injector is the block used to harbor the Gem Seed, which is what creates your gem.
The Gem Drill is the block you place the Injector on top of to make a complete Gem Incubator.
The Gem Base is the item that becomes a Gem Seed once activated and injected into the ground.
The Activated Gem Base is a Gem Base after being exposed to heat. To use it, right click on an Injector block and provide a redstone current to the Injector block.
The Transfer Contract is used to give your gems to other people, simply give it to the person and once they right click a gem it will notify you that that gem now belongs to them. If you decide not to use the Transfer Contract, you can smelt it to receive a diamond!
The Joint Contract is used to give a gem more than one owner. This is useful for people who want to share gems. If you decide not to use the Joint Contract, you can smelt it to receive a diamond!
You can fix cracked gems by putting them into a crafting table with a Healing II potion.
Warp pads were added.

Well, I accidentally suffocated a Jasper or two, and crashed the game somehow later on (probably my own fault, I was breaking a block next to a drill), but so far, I really like this mod. It looks like the best Steven Universe mod I've seen so far. And its still so new, I can only see it getting better from here.
I love this mod, it's probably one of the best SU mods yet. I was wondering if you could add fusion between the player and there gem and two gems, or beaten two players. Basically, it could like you hold f looking at two gems and the wall up to each other and there's an explosion and the fusion appears. if it's not a fusion in the show yet, it could be cotton candy style. I can help with modeling the fusion. Fusion would be a great addition to the mod and it'd be awsome if you added this.

Please post the crash log if you have it, I believe I may have fixed that error in the most recent version but I'd still like to know what happened.
By the way, thank you for the feedback!

"I should put a meaningful quote about my modding skills here, shouldn't I?"
Do you ever plan to implement a growth system with gems? As in, the more they do a task the stronger they grow. Like, a leveling system or a skill tree for gems. It would be great to fine tune certain gems to do specific tasks.

It sounds like a very fascinating idea, but no, I've never thought of that. My issue would be that the different Gems are already so specialized that only a few Gems would take advantage of it such as Rubies and Quartz.
I will look more into that however.

Well, if you did add a growth system, here's an idea for how it could work.
-Gems would have levels, starting at 0. They would gain experience for performing their main objective. For example, Rubies would gain in EXP for fighting. Peridots would gain in experience for performing an action in maintaining a kindergarten.
-Every level, the gem gains 1 point. That point can be put into a tree of skills that would differ depending on each gem. Rubies, Amethysts, and other combat gems would gain skills based on ranged combat, close combat, or passive buffs. Examples: An upgrade based on melee that causes a weaker wave attack, dealing damage to more than one mob. A ranged upgrade that fires 3 arrows instead of one. Passive strength upgrade.
-Peridot upgrades will allow them to do tasks faster or more complex tasks. It would encourage their use. Example: Simultaneous crop gather and replacement or large crop gains. An upgrade that involves not only pre-taming gems, but also giving them equipment.
-Pearls would have basic inventory upgrades, but will also have upgrades that are based on making them a multi-tool. Example: mining upgrade, useful with their inventory. Combat upgrade making them much like a personal body guard with an inventory.
-Lapis would have faster flight upgrades, a crop upgrade for when they're not being flown, and an inventory to act like a pearl, but with flight. The lapis would have a much more gradual, but slower EXP gain as they would get it through flight. Example: Farming upgrade. Inventory upgrade. Combat upgrade that involves firing balls of water at enemies.
-Sapphires would have a speed upgrade and a range of freeze upgrade. Examples: Speed upgrade, freeze range upgrade, upgrade that causes rubies to guard them if assigned.
-Bismuth would have a faster burn rate of thing she's given to smelt or cook along with the ability to smelt multiple things at once. Examples: Furnace cook rate upgrade. multiple item cooking. Inventory to hold cooked items. Passive item repair.
These are just some ideas I think would be cool for a 'skill tree' system.

"I should put a meaningful quote about my modding skills here, shouldn't I?"
If you're taking more ideas, here's another that regards new gem types.
Before adding in new gems, I think that we should keep in mind the canon of SU and Minecraft. We already have most of the characters that don't count as a fusion that are already full gems, like pearl, amethyst, peridot, lapis, etc. So, I think what's next up on the list are either fusions or non-canon gems that match the canon of minecraft. What do I mean by this? Here are a few examples of what I mean:
-Diamonds: Particularly powerful and large gems. Much like pearls, they can be 'customized' and colored into different shades such as yellow, clear, blue, pink, and others. Also like pearls, (in reference to my above post), they would be multi-purpose. However, they would have MUCH MUCH more inventory space and upgrades, giving them their importance. However, there is a cost to such a powerful gem. Upon being spawned, they will be aggressive and will require the player to prove their greatness. This will essentially be the beginning of a boss battle. They will have a basic melee attack and an occasional attack that is dependent on their spawn color. However, once they drop bellow 10% Hp, they weaken, growing smaller and are passive. At this point, they can be 'tamed'. (Spawns from diamond ore.)
-Emeralds: A very special gem, these happen to spawn passively without being made. Where? They appear in villages and often along side a temple. To the villages, they are gods of trade as their hearts are literally currency to them. These gems don't do much, but act as a circle of trade. They can be traded with an infinite number of times and eventually will unlock into all possible trades that you can make with basic villagers. Keep these green friends around and you'll finally have a grand purpose for all those silly emeralds you've been saving up. Their looks resemble more 'player' looking villagers with green skin and a gem located on their form. (Spawns in villages and from emerald ore.)
-Obsidian: These gems are much like any combat gem. They can be equipped with weaponry and will fight to protect their leaders. What is special about the obsidian is their resilience to damage. These powerful companions are particularly slow in attack rate and movement, but only take damage from sources doing more than 9 damage at a time. In other words, diamond level. They are also entirely fire resistant. They look very brutish, golem like in shape with broad shoulders, huge arms, but surprisingly stumpy legs. Their gems are often placed to their chests and arms. (Spawns from obsidian.)
-Glowstone: Elegant and beautiful gems, these classy followers aren't made for combat. They're not made for combat or brutish actions, but then what is their use? Well, these gems produce a natural light source for themselves and can be put at certain locations to produce a MASSIVE amount of light. They're great for following in the mines or just keeping at home. Upgrades allow special effects of their light, such as plant growth increase or passive mob breeding. (Spawns from glowstone.)
-Prismarine: Another fighter gem for those who need to cover all the bases. This gem comes in the shape of a buff shark person and for good reason. Much like other combat gems, they fight for their leader. However, if saddled up, they will carry their own over their shoulders. If walking on land, they will be particularly slow. But if presented with water, they will swim through it faster than any sapphire or lapis can move! Great for ocean travel, they are somewhat hard to get, as they require a sea lantern to take form. They get upgrades to increase their combat to be more 'pirate' or water based. (Spawns from Sea Lanterns.)
-NetherStar: A very powerful and special gem, much like the Diamonds. These gems are made by be absorbing the essence of a hand made ore, made by placing an H of soul sand into a crafting bench, a wither skull on top, and a nether star on the bottom. This will make wither sand, a noxious and vile material that isn't safe to touch. However, if asborbed by a gem, these one will take form, destroying the Wither Sand afterwards. The NetherStar gem is a towering skeleton, nearly as tall as any diamond. They resemble a far more detailed wither skeleton, singed bones and skeletal features. In all instances of the NetherStar, their gems are placed firmly against their foreheads, taking the shape of different runes and symbols instead of being located in other spots. The abilities of the NetherStar are based on combat. They naturally attack with a melee strike and by firing a wither skull. But with upgrades, they can be formed to fire multiple skulls, arrows, and deal nasty after effects with their damage. Along with this, they can be mounted. The player will be held within the NetherStar's rib cage and carried about. The NetherStar's mobility at first simply involves the ability to climb walls, but can be upgraded into flight or increased walk speed.
As with my other suggestion, I hope this helps to inspire some ideas.
I can't seem to add the Activated Gem into an Incubator by right-clicking, in the most recent version on 1.11. (Yes I have both the Drill and the Incubator)
EDIT: It seems everything that is suppose to be using right-clicking to function doesn't work aside from right-clicking on the gems themselves on 1.6.1 on MC 1.11.
EDIT2: Saw that there was an update. Grabbed that and everything seems to be working now, although sending a redstone signal into the Incubator is a little iffy and for some reason the sword texture doubles? (They hold two swords in one hand even though you give them one)
I had put the activated gem into the incubator and used a redstone torch and some redstone to try and send the weakest redstone signal, but after activating the redstone nothing happened. I took the gem out and put it back in and it immediately fired.
