I have seen this error if you accidentally open your forge map in vanilla 1.7.10 + , then open it in Forge again. If you put a lot of work into your map , always make a *.zip backup
The latest GIT commit , c3f1a63e126be7867e0ea87c4e63bd2a85d7c66b , fixes the problem with the gag rail , but has not been released
In MCEdit you can try to delete the blocks ID using this info
I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but for some reason on 4.3.0_005, the diesel, and electric engines do not work whatsoever and the Forney and BR-08 have to be attached to tenders to operate as pressing "R" does nothing, and there are no conflicting controls. I have no clue what is going on.

Try removing all your mods except TC and test . Then add 1 mod at a time to see where the conflict is

Try double checking your controls in the options menu. I had a user come to me before with this issue and it was because the controls were set different than default. They also said they were on 005 but it was actually 003, so might wanna double check that too.
Other mods of course could also cause it potentially, and if that is the case please let us know what mod and version, it may be something we can fix in future revisions (or at least prevent in the rewrite).
Also remember that steam and diesel trains need to heat up before they can move, and that the rollingstock adds drag to the train, so if you add too much it cant move or will do so very slowly.
Lastly remember that the hitboxes were made to be a lot less lenient in 005 to prevent the rollingstock fusing into the trains, so be sure there's nothing blocking the train's path, in some cases trains need upwards of 3 empty blocks above the rails, and two to each side to function properly.
One thing that IS a glitch, is related to this is the size of the packet used for moving the trains and rollingstock, if the server is slow or network bandwidth is limited the trains may have significant delays in their movement (This will be fixed in the rewrite, but there is absolutely nothing more I can do for it in the port).

I figured out that it was Rails of war for 1.7.10 was causing the problem.
Thanks for the heads up on that. Although with the way I've been treated by the dev (and community) of that mod, i think we'll just officially add it to the unsupported mods list.

He basically got butthurt in the old TC forum and on twitter over me saying that I don't think Rails of War is competition for TC because the scale is different, and also commenting, as a separate point, that I find it difficult to make maps for his 1:1 scale trains.
Plus also when you go around acting like this on a regular basis it really drives people away from wanting to work with you.

Wait, the Railcraft guy is on this too? Or did you mean RoW?

He most likely ment RoW, since he never talks about RC + RC is the same scale and no where near feature set.
+ I he told the story with RoW multiple times as he uses it as his prime example

Sorry, I meant Rails of war, I'll fix that mistake immediately. I have no problems with railcraft, the mod is awesome and the dev has actually tried to be nice and helpful.
I believe the one on the right was the intended train, however there's still no updates on that from the artist(s).
But, I can confirm the A4 Mallard and it's tender for 006. That one is actually in.
There are several trains in planning Im one of the artists now =P the dutch IC3 was the train. I plan on adding the American Big boy at some point but running a server hobbies and modding take up a lot of time lol.

The IC3 is Danish... In the Netherlands we don't even have anything that looks close to the IC3...

Is there a chance of a big US Train ever gonna be added to traincraft? I Think it really needs one as theres no large us Steam train yet.
But anyway nice to see new stuff
